What relics in Norte Dame were stolen? Most were made for the church during the Middle Ages. Most of the artworks in the Louvre were owned by the French kings who commissioned them, bought them, or received them as gifts or as the result of treaties. The Louvre was one of the many royal palaces before the French Revolution. Much of the Greek and Egyptian artifacts were stolen by Napoleon but that’s only a portion of the museum’s collection.

New York is not only large but has a lot of 100 year old building built before comprehensive fire codes. There only time a building may seem fire code improvements is during a large building renovation. The other option is building demolition. The land in NYC is so valuable that land owners would rather let a building go deralect than tear it down. Vacant land gets taxed more than occupied land and that causes property owners to put off land demolition to vacant land.

Sadly these beautiful older churches have been built to burn lots of flammable materials curtains pews carpeting wood with years of finishes applied. Large interior spaces for flow paths and then we are looking at a structure that has strict observance of the rules yet still there are fires that get started and are not discovered discovered until the smoke is seen coming out the vents. by then the interior is already an inferno. God Bless all who attended and dealt with this inferno I know firefighting is dangerous enough without the pandemic protocols that must also have been put in place on top of everything else. Seen my share of fires. Now my status is retired. Be safe, go home, and give your loved ones a hug, you and they deserve it.

  • @kelvinku4175

It would require the satellite to be in optimal position to do so, also the satellite deck gun is so powerful it can actually knock down the walls which can be a concern for a collapse. Let's go Eng 9/Satellite 1! 😀
