This is pretty cool that this video come up because I just finished watching an SVB match from October 2022 with JJ providing commentary and he talked about this match. He was asked which match he thought might be his personal worse in his entire career and he said something along the lines, "you have to go back about 20 years when I played Earl Strickland in Cardiff.".

Me too. Would have loved to seen the entire match, rather than starting from the 12th rack.

Jesus what did we have going on over here. 3 opening shots that kind of reminds me of when I first started playing.. If this is how the pros play I think I'm ready. LISTEN MAN..Earl's got some dog in him. And more over hes got some quit in him. Yes he is a pool God. But hes far far from perfect. He is beatable. Not exactly a gimme lol But just dont beat yourself.. I think one of the things that make Efren special is that he does take chances. Albeit educated chances.. but hes not 100% sure on a lot of those kicks.. there is no-way. I've began applying that into my game and I am very pleased with the results. I'll probably never play like these guys but I ain't no gimme either..dont worry about it. Anyway back to my point. Dude..if you're gonna do something. Do it with 100% effort. Dont half ass slap at it. Plant your feet and swing. Visualize. Take your educated best aim...and hit that cue ball like a man. Even if you happen to be a woman. Whatever. Same principle applys. Have faith in yourself. Anybody that watches these have had enough experience at the table to understand what I'm saying. You arent going to get the firing squad if you fail. I'd rather try my fearless best and fail than go out there shaking like a leaf and sissy slap at the balls..selling out left n right. Uhh uhh.. screw that noise. I have done it before. But those days are over. .. Jeremy's such a great guy. I love that guy. Outside of the obvious theres not much he could ask of me that I wouldnt do for him. God so many ppl get on every nerve. It's such an exhale to find anybody I actually enjoy being around. Means a lot.

Love JJ when he's commentating the current tour tournaments!! He cracked me up the other day though, during a match with Shane Van Boening and another player at the 2023 Hanoi Open, when he said that Shane Van Boening was the greatest player of all time.😆😅😂 I can't disagree more with that statement!!! Apparently, he's never heard of Efren "The Magician" Reyes. Oh, btw...Shane lost that match.

Not a fan. Might be a nice guy off the table..albeit nerve racking. But what he does while playing..is unacceptable to me. He better put that cue up and get going. In the opposite direction from me. Win or lose. He is no friend of mine.

Moving their cues like a teddertodder and upset when the cue ball goes off. Wearing their bowling shirts and flip flops with cue tips like the end of a baseball bat on a 5 foot table. Neanderthals.
