1971, US sent its 7th fleet to attack india whilst india was fighting to stop the massacre and rape of the now bangladeshis. The US nuclear armed fleet was scared off when ussr sent its nuclear subs to protect india. Anyone can verify pakistans own data of the number of rapes and killings done by their own army. American excuse was india attacked pakistan but really pakistan preemptively attacked india to prevent a potential indian interference in their rape and pillaging in the now bangladesh. And india helped the bangladeshis liberate their country and stand today as a proud country. India didn't get much benefit except prevent refugee exodus into india, but india also risked nuclear annihilation at the hands of the US and UK, except for the soviets support.

Nice words. You claim nations make choices based on national interests and thats why usa aligned with pakistan back them. ok fair enough. But Russian relationship is still in indias interests. Why is the usa trying to force us to support ukraine through often not so legal means and dirty tricks? Especially when usa continues to keep the relationship with pakistan. Why just last month the pakistani army chief was in the washington d c visiting the pentagon for a week also meeting the secretary of state. So usa has national interests, but india is not allowed any. We are to be usa vassals? Doesn't sound like a good deal for us. This won't work for us.

Just a class act. It takes time, but slow and steady wins the race. India is fortunate to have this person as the EAM. Keeping politics aside (which is quite hard), there is a level of comfort when he goes overseas and represents India in such a majestic way.

"the Europes problem is not the worlds problem " i am neutral about this statement because while its a pros that India is finally able able to work on its self interest and distance ourself from many failing European countries such Italy cons being India is still a not so rich country our G.D.P per capita lags behind even Bangladesh and more than 80cr people need subsideries to even survive , a good amount of that money comes from international funds under such circumstances it doesn't make any sense to be that aggressive in our diplomatic policies 2. "We would not accept any country telling us who to buy weapons from and who not to buy from." again a really good statement and as a citizen of India i am really proud of it but there is a reason such kind of talks happen behind close doors because such statements have a massive effect on the masses where i as a citizen of India am felling proud many from the other countries will in turn might not have same feelings about him and it make an image of an immoral and impulsive gov. and in the world of foreign affairs where the reputation of a countries are everything and even a country like china uses dual approach i think saying it in public was a better idea . In the end i am really happy that young people are now taking interest in our foriegn diplomatic policies.

Just because it's a job, doesn't automatically mean you have to be good at it. If you go to a shop, there are good apples and bad apples everywhere, they all don't taste the same. Don't be so naive.

The signalling has been excellent from India and the message must have reached US government that it cannot treat India the same way as it does to some other countries like Britain,Canada, Pakistan, Japan. India will always maintain its strategic autonomy in it's national interest. India has to strengthen it's bilateral ties with Russia specially in defence and nuclear technology.
