This is Tim Tebow-esque for sure. Now if only all overpaid athletes (90%) were like Tim Tebow who built the hospital in the Philippines this world would be a much better place. Huge kudos to this football player following Tim's lead. There are quite a few athletes just like this unfortunately it's just such a small percentage.

I was commenting above about how PRESENT he was with her. Not a publicity thing nor did he do it to merely prove to the world that ya can do good things.... he really felt for that family. He was truly present in the moment, and that little girl was glowing as she danced. I am hoping this took key sad thoughts about her dad not being able to go with her, even though her thoughts are most likely always with him. I bet her dad was in that room as well. What a special moment.

We need more professional athletes, and people in general, to emulate the humility and kindness of this young man. I’m a lifelong Cowboys fan, but I’m now also a fan this terrific young man.

I’m not an NFL fan at all... or I wasn’t.. but I will certainly be following Mr Harris’ career now! Someone that thoughtful has a special place in this world, and football can only be the tip of the iceberg for this fine man!

Now that is paying it back, the family offered him( Harris) words of encouragement during hard times, in doing this he has payed back that support and then some, he has given a young girl some positive and fantastic memories.

Got me in here crying. Mr. Harris is such a blessing. 🙌🏽

Sports in itself is something positive!!!! They also keep us entertained!!! They are human beings who excel in what they do by putting in hours of practice!!!! They may not be doctors but God gave them Lemons and they made lemonade!!!! Most of them never do well in academics and feel inferior when algebra and calculus is going on IN the classroom!!!! @Njambi Erastus: What on earth are you talking about? Over the last few years, the vast majority of sports stories are negative. Usually involving some kind of racial/racist element. This is a story where one player reached out to a fan and acts like a REAL MAN instead of some overpaid primadonna! It's things like this that need to be reported more, celebrated more, because society is being destroyed by ideological tribalism. Something which sport should NOT be part of.

Kindness is a special element that changes peoples heart, mood, joy. Something that gives people tear of joy, knowing that there are genuine people with big heart among us.

Beautiful man and beautiful family. I’m sorry for the Audrey and her mother’s loss, but so happy to see the wonderful gesture and the difference it made to a tough year. My son almost lost his father last year and I have spent a lot of time thinking how tough it would have been for him and my wife if I hadn’t made it.

Goodness what a beautiful man inside and out. His smile lit up the room!

Exactly!!! I was thinking about how clear it was that he really felt for that special little gal... I've said it in a couple comment responses as well as my post above, but I can't help but say again how present he was in that room with her. He wasn't trying to show the world that he did a nice thing, it was real and all class. It showed all over that little sweetheart if a young lady's expressions too. Anthony Harris really did something special, and it's super cool how grounded that family was too... they kept it about the young lady. Not a publicity moment of her daughter chilling with a pro dude type of thing, ya know what I mean? It was all done with pure heart. And you said it right, his smile showed how he his inside as well.

You're a blessing Mr. Harris, bringing much needed happiness to a young lady, after losing two special men in her life, a memory she'll remember always. You have a fan in me #28

You’re damn right she will. When I was 11, I was a huge WWF fan and I liked chris Jericho, he wasn’t my favorite, but I liked him. He came to my local mall to sign autographs. It was $50 to get a picture signed. I had just recently broke my arm and got a cast the week before. When we got to the beginning of the line to get the picture, the guy says, “if you want your cast signed, it’ll be another $50.” My mom said we couldn’t afford it. We get up to Jericho, and he signs the picture then asks, “would you like me to sign your cast?” I told him “that guy over there said it would be $50 and we cant afford it.” He gave the dirtiest look ever to the guy, then looked back at me with a huge smile and said “give me your arm” and signed his name SUPER big on my cast. I was so happy and it brought my mom to tears. He hugged her and we left. After that, he became one of my favorite wrestlers and its one of my favorite childhood memories.

This guy made my heart melt today. As a Vikings fan, all I can say is you're a real one. Love you guy
