I think they should make this an actual thing in the show. Uthred has had many women from the beginning of the show , Sithric has a wife and a child in case anyone forgot , and Finan has had nothing.

It's funny how they hinted a romantic relationship between them in season 4, just to make them look like "strangers" in season 5. I'm still at the 4th episode but I highly doubt something will happen

They teased the two of them so hard in Season 4 that I was expecting a great storyline for them in Season 5. Then all of a sudden he's already married to someone else & has a kid(s)? He was way too central a character to be blown off like that. Besides, she & Finan make a much better pair than she & Uhtred.

Haha, the moment i saw her in the series I knew she was gonna be Finan's girl. Just had a feeling about it.

What a beautiful couple they do, I hope in the fifth season they are together in a relationship, they are both so beautiful that if they combine 💖

I genuinely felt like their chemistry complimented each other more than she with Uhtred or Finan with his wife later on. If the writers of the show had given them a love story there's no doubt that they'd be a fan favorite couple. 🤭

I think they kind of did have something they indicated it in the show, when Eadith returned, Finan looked sort of uncomfortable and everyone was a but awkward about it. She probably left for Frankia instead of staying with him and he married someone else. There is an edit somewhere, and they showed Sithric, Uthred and Osferths reactions to her return.

I just got finished watching Season 4 on DVDs and I don't remember most of these scenes in it. Unless they're short cutting the DVDs. Guess I'll just have to watch them again.

They better not just casually kill them off so we can have more Uhtred moments.

I thought it was weird them slightly going there with them after reading the books . But this is TV and if it continues in season 5 i just hope they don't put them together and kill off one (Eadith) of them in the very next scene .

I will still never understand how they didn’t get together. Finan’s wife was a badass but I didn’t see the connection he had with Eadith. You could see how much he cares for her especially when he begged “please” to get her out of the way of the battle. I guess You win an Irishman’s heart by paying for his ale.🍺 😂

I reckon she had more chemistry with Osferth and even Uhtred. I think Finan should have a love story but not with Eadith. They had maybe 3 conversations and felt very forced in the last few eipsodes of season 4

The TV series will have to deviate from the books drastically if they really want to bring everything to a satisfying close in season 5. They hinted at Finnan and Eadith becoming a thing heavily in season 4, and with as little time left, putting her with Uhtred in season 5 seems like it would be rushed and unpleasant to watch. My guess is that book fans will hate season 5, and even those that only watched the TV series will notice a good amount of plotholes. Uhtred will either conquer Bebbanburg, or give up on it forever. Finnan's wife in the show was only ever mentioned as a thing of the past if I remember correctly, so it seems unlikely she would be brought up now except as a way to remove Finnan from the picture without having him die on-screen
