She was such a sweet woman who wanted nothing but to live in peace with her family, she had no personal ambition nor hatred, she never used him or betrayed him ... she was just uthred's safe heaven and his voice of reason. I was very sad when she died

They have moved away from the books.... Uthred had a Danish girl he help after a battle....in between season 3 and 4 ( in the books) she doesn't appear in the show....season 2 Gisela had the older son and daughter was saw.... Then she died in child labor with the 3rd ( a son) so in season 4 they only show the 2.... what about the other son....? They show is different....have I missed something about the younger son in the tv series... ( I don't want spoil itfor anyone reading the books)

@@jimmason1072 huge differences in series 4. They have molded both 'Uhtred Jnr/Judas' and 'Osbert/Uhtred' into one son/character in the series. No ice spite.. Which forms a huge basis for The Empty Throne, while Gloucester/Chester are replaced by Aylesbury/Winchester for some reason. Series 4 is brilliant don't get me wrong, but vast changes from the books!

What makes a good actor...when a warrior shows his vulnerable side and cries such sorrowful tears that you can't help but weep right along with him.

I think Gisela was the best wife he could have had, and besides that, Alexander's performance ....is simply wonderful...proving he is the best Uhtred we can have. We miss you💗

Out of all the many and numerous women in Uhtred's life, I would have to definitely say Iseult and Gisela were his two greatest loves. They were very similar in both appearances and personalities and only wanted the best for Uhtred. I was incredibly sad when both died.

Yes Aethelflaed really disappointed me this season. Uhtred risked his life to save her daughter from being married off to some older asshole and then he was he saved the lives of Edwards 2 children and after all of that they not only attack the city and not care if he dies, but they give up his daughter without his permission ( she wanted to go but they didn’t know that ) and after all of this Uhtred still agrees to protect and bring up his 1st son Aethelstan. Uhtred is a legend

Aethelflaed’s only true love was Erik because for him she was willing to give up everything but she would never do that for Uhtred. Heck she wouldn’t even want to rule Mercia alongside him because she doesn’t think he’s good enough. She will use and betray Uhtred like her father did for three seasons.

I forgot a lot of women, but Gisela stuck with me because she gave him children. I guess people forgot about her because there was like a 10 year time period between the season where she was introduced and the one where she died

Tbm gostei muitooo desse casal,acho que deveriam de contado uma história pra ela tbm,deixá-la mais importante na série,não só na vida do Uhtred,minha temporada preferida foi a segunda,justamente a que ela estava,foi nessa que começamos vê-los mais maduro,e muito mais guerreiro,e melhor apesar deles estarem juntos não romantizaram,então ela deveria ter ficado.

Him and Aethelflead was lovely and beautiful but I genuinely think that Gisela was his true love, he loved all the women he was with i'm sure and i love that about him but with Gisela it felt real and i think she gave him what he needed the most especially at the time he met her, love, comfort and respect which is something unfortunately he never had from anyone. As much i love Aethelflead and i how beautiful they were, she couldn’t give him what he need, despite their love there was no woman like Gisela for him, when he wanted to go away from politics and problems, she was there for him and sadly it’s something that could never happen with Aethelflead or any other woman he was with as we saw. Uthred's story is tragic, beautiful but tragic.

being in love or married to Uhtred Ragnarson is basically a 50/50 coin flip on wither or not you will survive. Mildrith and Aetheflad got lucky. Gisela and iseult not so much. i hope that Uhtred in season 5 doesn't have a love interest he should be more focused on taking back babbenburg.

I dont like any movie or siries, but i see Utherd the last of kingdom by Netflix and I feel like.... ummm... why i feel like he is someone who been know (noe I'm not just feeling because he's handsome)then after I love this series like crazy. I look all day all night , whatever I do, I have take computer with me, and I watch all of this in 3-4 day ofcourse when they fights or killing someone i not look at all. sometimes dont know who's die then just back to look.and when Gisela die I feel like my heart broken for Utherd I can imagine how the feeling this tell , because God has take my bf away from me too. i thought it was out of place, her character's makeup. i wish they would have made her look consistent with the rest of the cast in minimal makeup. women did not wear makeup in that time, so it takes away from realism
