EA Debate: Youth in agribusiness - How to attract Africa’s young people to farm
Despite the fact that 77 percent of the population in Sub-Saharan Africa is younger than 35 - that's around 770 million people, the farm lands are filled with the older generation. In Rwanda, the average age of farmers is 55years old. Why are Africa’s youth less engaged in agribusiness? In the following debate, CNBC Africa’s Eugene Anangwe engages young entrepreneurs in agribusiness and other stakeholders on the real challenges and opportunities in this sector.
