One of your best vids so far. I like this entry level fun daily driver thing. Maybe you could make a series out of this.

Great content. Great video. Finally a car we can afford.
Nice Review! I do have a question though as I am about to start doing car reviews on my channel sometime soon. I assume you have to get a dealer's permission before recording a video of one of their cars, right?
The song used in the beginning, "Why We Lose" literally came on autoplay after I played "Gravity" on NCS' channel lol. But, Eddie keep up the good stuff! I drive an e90 335i and it is quite a performance bargain!

Wow Eddie! This car seems great for someone who wants to work on their own car without using complex dealer scan tools. It's great that BMW didn't include an OIL DIPSTICK in this model so that when the electronic sensor goes bad you can blow the engine up. The plethora of plastic parts in the engine is great too so that I can see it crack and break as the year go by. Awesome design.

I'm 18 and this is my second car... my first being a 330ci. I purchased the car from carmax and I would reccomend going through them because for a little extra you can get an extended warranty which covers all those expensive repairs for the next 4 years. For an 18 year old this car has plenty of power and is a good way for someone young to learn their limits. It handles very well and for the most part is a comfortable ride. Plus you get to ride in style ;). I agree with you Eddie this is one of the best cars for the money.

Great vid! nice looking car
I have that car but with the Individual package, which gives it a much nice feel. As it has special leather and special paint. Makes the car so much better.
why do people say BMW require too much maintenance? how much is too much, and which parts category/ parts of the car require the most maintenance? does it break down easily or something? the parts are high priced, correct? Does that automatically mean the parts are well equipped or is that just a way to company "shows" the BMW 328i is "luxurious" don't know much about cars, and I haven't found a helpful website. I'm still surfing the web, but would appreciate your response.
I actually owned 2011 335i with M sport package and the M performance package which was a $500 option and it was a tune and exhaust and it added 30 horsepower, but I did not know until years later that they actually had adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go on this generation 3 Series

I have a 2007 328i and it runs great. It has 118,271 miles on it. To me that's low mileage for a 12 year old car. It is a fun car to drive. Two more car payments and she's mine. The only thing that has been changed on my car is the oil pan gasket. It is a great first car.
I'm on my 4th 3 series, had e36, e46 (favorite), e92 & now f30. One thing I learned from driving these cars is avoid the first gen turbo engine fitted with overwhelmed under engineered electronics, aka e90 series. Bmw got it right with the later models & f platform but always avoid first gen technology. E46 dodged all the common e90 headaches.

Kenneth B is the f30 328i a good 1st car? I think its a good daily for me since it has a good MPG, and the insurance for a 16 years old won’t be as much since it’s a 4 cylinder, the car itself is fast enough stock but I might add some mods down the rode for fun

nice review...but in Europe for the LCI model we don't have the same steering wheel....
just bought mine today ! looks the exact same!
How do you set up your phone from the steering wheel?
Ok, now tell me how much is maintenance ? As far as I know there is some really expensive issues are connected with this car, like water pump and oil leaks.
I have a '08 e92 bmw 335i and i just love it, from the steering wheel (hate the 328i one) to the menacing 2 spoke tail lights, i somehow like them more than the refreshed tail light leds, theres just something about the first gen e92 that i really like. And of course that amazing N54 3.0L in-line 6 twin turbo engine is just pure fun. Can't go wrong. My next car might be a 2011 335is or a 2009-11 911 Carrera.

@@michaelcanas5521 I love it. Smooth and quiet, great power, great traction, very comfortable.
Looks great.
I picked up a CPO 2011 with 42000 KM. This was back in Dec 2014. I've had the car for two years and, aside from a transfer case leak which was addressed under warranty, the car has been trouble free. I think that this might have been a costly repair had it not been covered under warranty. Overall, it's a very good family car that has the old BMW DNA. I also test drove a few F30s (sedan, wagon and diesel wagon) over the years and find that these are a step backward in terms of driving dynamics, especially with respect to handling and steering feel. Service on these cars is on the pricey side, but they are probably the most reliable BMW model ever made.
Hi Eddie, could you do a review for 2014 bmw 328i ? Thanks brother!
Just bought this car! The best car I've ever owned
in western europe, you can find early e90's for about 3.500€, and cleaner lower mileage or newer ones go from 5.000€ up
I just got a 2011 328i last week with 84k miles for 8,800 bucks. It runs perfect it has a tiny oil leak but aside from that it’s perfect. I feel like I made a smart buy especially after watching this

hugo chen but its a turbo, so that puts a damper on reliability
dont you have the 330i with 272hp and no turbo in the us?
I just bought my 2011 328i, for a very good deal, so far the car is good, it is already in good condition but i will stay on top on maintenence just for the peace of mind. Fuel economy is not bad but it isn't the best either but its totally usable. Engine runs smooth at 113k miles and the transmission has some kicks specially in the low rev range, but once it gets going after second gear it shifts great. I'll try to see what is the issue with the first to second gear kick, maybe transmission fluid can fix it
+EddieX please review the w204 c300 between 2008 and 2011 since it is the main competitor to the 328i
Suggestion for your reviews. You talk about engine and steering but never about ride quality. Ride quality is really important to talk about if you suggest this car as a daily driver
Steering is heavy on these e90 Do u agree ?
That cup holder is a deal breaker 😆
is it direct injected or port?
Thanks for commenting, I have the same car, I agreed with what you said about it.
Where Could i buy one i have 10k But it dont show up in bmw dealers
E90 3 series is by far the best one ever made~ Sure the G20 3 series may be more modern, but I still think the E90 is the best one and the best looking. Plus I love the sound of this older N54 engine a lot. I like the augmented sound of the current inline 6, but something about this inline 6 just gives me more raw sound, mainly because it isn't a fake sound.
Eddie, as a high schooler, I am fortunate enough to have a 2009 BMW 128i. Yes it is a cool, fast and nice first car, but my problem is the maintenance for the car. I spent more than half the cars worth already on maintenance for it already. Very blowed about it, wanting to trade it in soon.

When you say this car gets good fuel economy, can you be a little more specific?
time to buy these cars is right at 100k miles. my 2009 328i rwd wagon, white on saddle brown with the sport package, we got with 65k on it and it needed everything done. water pump, thermostat, suspension refresh, radiator, cooling hoses, starter, belt tensioner, oil filter housing gasket, valve cover gasket and oil pan gasket. if you know how to DIY and you pick one of these up, do it. it is a super rewarding and fun car to drive. however, if you’re going to take it to a shop to do these repairs/ preventative maintenance, be prepared to pay!
Why did this car have Canadian plates? Saw the "Ontario, yours to discover".
