Yup. Never even personally cared for the Shenmue games and haven’t even played III. BUT-I knew HOW SPECIAL those games were to a number of people who had largely given up hope that it was EVER coming back, at this point. So to see that dream come true (even though it wasn’t my own) in real-time was AMAZING.

storytellerjack22 You know there's a genuine love when you see those kind of reactions. I remember watching Skyrim and Zelda announcements and people went wild. I realized how well loved the series was and can feel the wave of happiness and excitement. Now if they announce a decent Ace Combat sequel set in StrangeReal again or remake of Ace Combat 5 and Zero or Suikoden 1 and 2 remake with Square Enix engine I will run around screaming like crazy.

+Mark Misa Kind of. They were actually going about their normal work day when they found out. If you follow any of their other streams (that I post on my channel), you will see their 2nd last stream called "Dumb game monday" which they do just after noon. At the end of that stream, Kyle signed off saying "see you next week" He didn't know at the time. A couple of hours after that stream ended they found out that gametrailers is shutting down and this was their last day at work.

Beerlover2007 All old games that get a remake or another title to their series. Were are the new ideas? Shenmue is also too long ago. And half life 2 can't be improved that easily so they can probably leave it for what it is right now. In a way I don't even want a new half life, the first one wasn't even good I only liked the second one. And maybe the last part of the first game, but before you got there it was pretty bad. There were much better FPS games back then: red faction / time splitters 2 or 3 etc (compared to HL1).

This is what e3 is about dude! I've never played shenmue or ff7 but I'm just so happy for these guys.

Still coming back to this in 2023 to feel the purest of joy!

Same here. For me on the original PlayStation it’s the greatest game I’ve ever played. I remember all the way back in 1997 spending hours on this game, staying up to 2 or 3am just levelling up and finally completing the story.

This video is why professionalism is overrated, and why GT was so awesome. It was the last remnant of gaming journalism where the journalists were actual fans.

it's been 6 months and every time I watch this, I tear up. It's one of the most beautiful moments in E3 history.

For those that don’t know Huber reactions were even better because days prior he was talking about how he would love a ff7 remake and shenmue 3 even though shenmue 3 was near impossible

This was probably the greatest 1-2 punch in E3 history. FFVII had a rabid fandom surrounding rumors of it being remade for going on a decade at this point. Shenmue III, while not NEARLY close to the same level of popularity, ALSO had a rabid fandom that had all but given up hope at that point that Yu Suzuki’s sweeping epic would ever be completed. Getting just ONE of these announcements in an E3 press conference would’ve been enough to shoot it to legendary status, let alone both. Add in a healthy little sprinkling of The Last Guardian still being alive and coming to PS4 and you have one of the WILDEST E3 conferences EVER.

The thing that makes this reaction amazing, is that he knows the game simply by the MUSIC that plays... before anything related to it is shown.

a few weeks before e3 there was a photo circulating of 3 leaves falling on a massive screen. we all thought it was trolls messing with us, then yu posted a pic of a fork lift just before e3 and we where like is yu trolling us seriously not nice. then e3 happened omg it wasnt trolls lol

I still come back to this video 5 years later. Something comforting about a bunch of grown dudes losing their shit over game announcements. Video games just hit a special place in your childhood that sticks with you for a lifetime. Fuck dude.

Coming back to this after the launch and still.....no game ever has made the world feel this way.

2021 and I still come back to this video reaction in particular, because it was such a magical moment when FF7R was revealed. I already played what's been released of the story so far and I look forward to part 2. 😁

And its jus a crime that more hardcore sega fans dont know sega’s other properties that make sega LEGENDARY in japan…. Not alot of ppl outside of japan know Hokuto No Ken (fist of the north star) and Ryo ga Gotoku (sega’s yakuza series)….. …not alot of ppl picked up the ps4 exclusive fist of the north star (kenshiro is amazing lvl 80 and above. U rly see him become like bruce lee)….and alot of ppl didnt play the yakuza series until they wer given away monthly (ps+) or free (gamepass) Its just sad, man….a crime….fist of the north star shud be just as popular as dbz….dbz came from fist….goku came from kenshiro…. Yakuza shud be just as popular as grand theft auto…yakuza is basically japan’s grand theft auto, just a whole lot more quirky with its japanese themes….

Watching these reactions now, years later, is even more impactful with the knowledge that FF7R turned out absolutely incredible (especially with *_Rebirth_* less than a month away~)

Love watching this at least once a month to see the absolute joy, happiness and genuine excitement from people who absolutely love video games.

I had to come back and watch this again after seeing their reaction yesterday. These guys have this game in their hearts just as much as we do and I love it!

Final Fantasy VII remake is a blessing, such a fantastic game ! I still remember this conference... it seems like yesterday.... Too bad for Shenmue III, it deserved more work and attention.

Whenever I feel down, I watch this video.

I just love how the reaction to FFVII was slowly building up, until the last lettering, when they finally realized what it was... But in the Shenmue III reaction it was chaos all over the place from the very beginning!

Now this is a real reaction. Very tired of so many fake ones about everything on yt. This one is real, not just made for getting viewers

Every now and then I rewatch this clip, best reaction ever, always makes me a little bit happier.

I come back to this video every year, just to see his reaction to S3.

As a Shenmue fan myself, this never ceases to bring tears of joy to my eyes. Huber is so overwhelmed, so were all of us. This is why video games are so special.
