Spielberg's E. T. was the 1st movie I ever watched in a cinema.
It had a profound effect on my musical development. I believe it laid the ground stone for my love of film music.
I was no older than 10 and I remember that the entire walk back I tried desperately to hum and not foget that melody. I had it "solved" on my head minus those last two chord jumps. But ack at my dad's organ (we never had a piano) I couldn't find it.
And that was that back then. I couldn't get the music from anywhere and this stuff was never played on radio. No Internet.
I don't remember when, but I downloaded the movie a few years ago. I hadn't seen it since and the music have me goosebumps... 😊
It's improvised base on what I remember (not much 😂) ,
So it's only the beginning with the main motif, then I got side tracked and went off on some tangent trying out different bass notes on major chords. 🤔😁
