Great video my friend. Eyeballed it on the big screen with breakfast n coffee. I like this plane, it looks spiffy :). Be sure to kick it out of the bed tonight, the wife will certainly be upset if you don't. 🤣 AirHammer out!!

Hah! Yeah, it was on the bed long enough for assembly and now it sleeps in the hangar! Glad you enjoyed the video my friend, and especially glad to hear you watched it on the big screen as most of my videos are geared for that anyway. Blue skies brother 😎👍😁

I flew my Beechcraft D-18 last Week first flight just a little trim on pitch and slight trim on roll rate second flight spot on flies extremely well, 4 c 4000 set fully forward. 6min flight time. landings wheel landings are the best. Great work Horizon on design and quality. Happy Pilot,, Michelle Nolan,, United Airlines, (ret) f/a

That's outstanding Michelle! I found mine to be the same way; adjusted the elevator slightly and just a smidge of aileron to correct a slight roll. I agree with you, the wheel landings are the best! This is one great looking and great flying model. Thanks so much for checking in, blue skies and happy landings to you!

So first off...where is the zebra skin bed spread?? Did I rag you enough last time to make you change it? LOL! Great job on the unboxing my friend...she is a beauty isn't she? So interesting fact (I know you love those) - this is actually the mass produced D model. Matt Younkin's plane that everybody wants to emulate...is a very rare C model. It has a different wing root, short nacelles, and lacks many of the things the D models were modified with that added weight, so his will fly 20mph slower than a D model. He attributes that to his planes aerobatic capability, and says the D model isn't anywhere near as capable for acro. I find that interesting. Eric Johnson Photography (aviation photographer) has a walk around video with Matt and his plane on YT. I look forward to your maiden buddy!!

Hey brother! The Zebra stripes are on the sofa in the front room right now, a bit too hot in the summer to have them on the bed, BUT, they will return for winter! HAH! I absolutely love the info/history about Matt's Twin Beech, and I would never have known that without you telling me, so many thanks for that! Maybe that's why HH went with the D? Maybe they thought it would translate better to RC format, and also that there were many more D models built? In any event, thanks for checking in and I hope to get this gorgeous plane in the air this weekend! Blue skies to you and the Mrs.!

FYI ...watching this again during my assembly...the CG in the manual is 22mm +/- 5, 'forward' of that panel line at the wing joint??? May be the reason for your more up/neutral elev. setting...just wondering ? thank you...have a great Thansgiving...

Yessir, I was surprised myself when I saw where HH decided to put the C/G. No worries, I'm sure it was easier doing it that way than doing it closer to the wingroot where C/G is normally measured. I set mine up exactly as the manual recommends, but after flying mine I made some adjustments that suited me. I always encourage folks to follow the manual, and then go from there to fit their own liking. Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving my friend!

Easy way to snap wings together without damage...lower wheels , place fingertips of one hand into wheel well and use other hand to apply force at wingtip to push wings together....what was your CG measurement ???..there suggested number ...no way !!!!! extremely tail heavy............and did you use flap- elevator mixing ???? I found their numbers - -4 an -7 on elevator that were suggested gave me up elevator with flaps...isn't that backwards ??hahaha.....

Hey thanks my friend for checking in! I agree with you, I initially used the suggested CG measurement, but then adjusted the battery placement forward to make it a little more nose heavy and found that much to my liking. My flap elevator mixing worked for me (i.e., a little down elevator when the flaps were extended), seemed to work out for me. I really enjoy flying this plane, it just floats in for landings and will fly forever on a 3s 3200mAh battery. All the best to you!
