Welcome to our review of the RadRover 6 Plus fat tire adventure bike! If you're searching for a fun and powerful e-bike that can handle various terrains effortlessly, then look no further. The RadRover 6 Plus delivers an exciting riding experience with its smooth performance and impressive power.
Despite its weight, this beasty e-bike glides along effortlessly, thanks to the motor's strong push. Whether you're cruising through the city's bumpy roads, maneuvering around cracks, or exploring gravel trails, the RadRover 6 Plus handles it all like a pro.
While Rad Power Bikes initially classifies this model as an adventure bike for light trail riding, we've discovered its true versatility. It excels as a commuter bike, especially in cities prone to snow and rain. In fact, we've decided to re-label it as an adventure commuter bike, giving Rad Power Bikes a nod of approval for creating a multipurpose gem.
The RadRover 6 Plus comes equipped with high-capacity cargo racks and offers a wide range of accessories available online. This makes it an excellent choice for those seeking a pack mule of a rig. The inclusion of wide fat tires, a 60mm front suspension, and full coverage fenders further enhances its capabilities as an adventure bike and all-weather commuter.
In summary, the RadRover 6 Plus is a fantastic e-bike that combines power, versatility, and durability. Whether you're seeking thrilling off-road adventures or a reliable daily commuter, this bike has you covered. Don't miss out on the opportunity to explore the world with ease and style on the RadRover 6 Plus!

Thanks for this review, Rob. Just ordered the RadRover 6 Plus as a companion to our Lectric cargo ride. Stoked to get it on the road.

With soo many $1100-$1400 bikes on the market with questionable brand names and support I'm seriously considering the Rad due to it's name. Can it be "modded" to go faster?

We can't speak to modding it, but we are certain that if you do, it will void the warranty. Some of their new e-bikes are Class 3 - hitting 28 mph. Maybe check those out!

I own the step through model and found it to be a big disappointment. The power generated by the motor was a huge disappointment. For a "750 watt" motor the bike stuggles with hills. My bike was delivered with the shifter not working correctly. A visit to a local bike shop solved this issue. I find the bike to be to heavy. Recommendation: Do not waste you money on the bike. On paper it looks fine but in the real world it underperforms and is costly.

Thanks for sharing your experience! We recommend always taking your bike in for a tune up to get things like derailuers and brakes dialed in. We agree that it is a heavy bike and isn't a great hill climber, but we found it to perform pretty well as an all-terrain commuter around the city.

I have the bike in Canada, which comes with a 500W motor...it is fine on hills.

Have an older rad zero issues. Picked this up and it fantastic . If your trying togo up a mountain then of course it not going to make it. Our older rad as well as this both have the same watt motor. And I've had zero issues with power going up steep grades. Battery life is excellent and I can go easy 30 miles + @ 15-18 mph. The suspension works well and ride comfort is decent. The only draw back to rads is the seat . Sorry rad they suck! Upgrading the seat is worth it. My ride mix is light trail , communiting and cruising with the fam on long rides. One thing people don't comment on is night time riding. This bike headlight it quite brite for night riding. My only gripe is the tiny tail light. What sold me was an in person to rad Corp store in Florida . The bike builder came out and spoke to us. Zero pressure and went over the bikes and bike features. You could really appreciate his passion for the brand and the bikes. Cool experience. This was the best bang for the buck. I also like the walk assist mode !! My wife prefers our older ran runner . But she was very timid of this bike. A quick seat adjustment and off she went. Shes 5'6 and had no problem. After her initial ride she came back and said it's pretty bad ass !!! I'm super happy with this bike. And for us at least the more miles we put and cycled the battery it appears to perform much better than new . We have almost 300 miles on it. No issue. And I've been caught in several times in the rain. No problems .
