I totally bought the smallest barrel and it’s the bomb on my shoulder length hair. I use a light leave in conditioner, root pump, blow dry cream with heat protectant and I spray each section with texturizing spray after I am done curling the section. My curls last a couple of days. I have super straight fine hair like you. I will alternate directions but I also alternate holding it up and down. I also finish with a light hairspray. My hair still feels relatively soft after all the products. It will also curl your hair dry. I often come back on day two or three and touch up dry. The tighter you make the curls originally, the more they can fall to get the actual look you want. My fine hair dries super fast. I use the highest heat for like no more than 10 seconds or when my scalp starts getting hot. Then I hold the cool shot button for 6 seconds to lock in the curl.

I absolutely love my Airwrap! One thing I find is my curls last a VERY long time when I DO NOT use the curl shot, I also don’t turn it off between sections. Long lasting curls and shorter time doing my hair ❤ 😊

What a wonderful gift!! It definitely takes a lot of trial and error. In the end, the straightening hard brush is the one I use the most. It's a great device! And you LOVE the smaller barrel :)

It's tricky to get the hang of and I learn more every day. But I'm happier and happier with the results as I use it. I suspect it'll take me a year to master 😂

Aww thank you 😊 I do ❤️ my Le Duo, but the Dyson can do so much more than curl. In fact, the straightening/smoothing tools are amazing. Now that I have it, I'm determined to get the curls out of it!

Thank you for this tutorial ❤, I have this 20mm dyson airwrap attachment and use it with my 65£ teejoin 3 in 1 multi hair styler which is an exact equivalent to the dyson airwrap. All dyson airwrap attachments fit 100% perfectly.

This is the best curl you've got so far - looks very natural, Mary. Haven't got the Airwrap but it's on my wish list. Your enthusiasm is so infectious, Dyson should be using you in their adverts 🙂 My all-time favourite hair device is one you didn't really get on with - the L'Oreal Steampod. Thanks for sharing your results - and do let us know how long the curls lasted....hopefully a bit longer than with the larger barrel!

Thanks Val! I think so too. Ok, they didn't last at all. But the way it dropped was gorgeous and I was happy right up until bedtime. Next time, I try a mouse. And I probably need to leave it longer. I'll get there!

I love how enthusiastic you are about your dyson ..you are a breathe of fresh air Mary!! You are so lovely and positive .. I hope you get a lot of lovely curly hair days with it!! I can't afford a Dyson .. and even though I love the thoughts of having one .. I am not sure I could actually bring myself to spend that much money on a hair-styler .. truth be known I would probably prefer a new dishwasher 😄 .. BUT I have discovered the Babyliss Secret Curler which is beyond fantastic .. have you tried it out? I got it on sale after Christmas in Sam McCauleys for 140euro .. It is AMAZEBALLS!! Like seriously AMAZEBALLS!! So so easy-peasy to use, really great beachy waves .. you can change the look of the curls by how vigorous you shake them out after .. but a good alternative, I think, to the dyson .. and those of us who need a new dishwasher !!😂

Haha, a dishwasher is WAY more important! And I wouldn't have spent the money either, to be honest. I haven't tried the Secret Curler but the L'Ange Le Duo is STILL my favourite curl. I did a video here you if you want to see the results. Now that I have the Dyson you can get your buttom dollar I'm going to figure out how to make it create the same curls. I'm determined! @@kalamity_krisz that’s the one I use the most but seeing side by side comparison….nope. The straightener is like a straight you’ve never seen (without a flat iron, which I never use)

Hi Mary! We seem to have the same length hair and I was advised to get the Airwrap Complete with regular size barrels not the long ones. In one of your videos you mentioned you would’ve preferred the longer barrels with the Airwrap you purchased. I was wondering why?

The reason is I prefer longer is I want the curls to spiral down the barrel rather than wrap around itself repeatedly. I'm not sure that makes sense at all!

My old air wrap has the thin barrel tools so I’m now like “there’s a big one?”

It's crazy expensive and it's taken me YEARS to commit. Plus a ton of gift certificates. I wouldn't have shelled out myself but I'm so glad I finally got it ☺️

Still gave me the same problem... It falls out within an hour... Soft and all is fine but not for styling really... It's ironic that I keep spending more to make more use than a dryer because I didn't want to admit that I am stupid enough to spend £500 for hair dryer 🤦‍♀️
