To this day, I still have not received a logical answer to my question..."How can a person be charged with a double homicide for killing a pregnant woman?" In my state they can. Yet, if that same woman went to PP and ended her pregnancy, it wouldn't be a big deal. Regardless of anyone's opinion on ending pregnancies, that is a glaring question. Nobody can ever answer it for me, which tells me a great deal about society.

That coward committed an unspeakable act. I'm so happy to hear the sentence she was given and that the mother survived. Aurora is beautiful and l'm glad that, as her mother said, she got her day in court. I hope the mother heals and is still able to carry a child should the day come when she is ready to.

It is amazing the mother survived that assault! That baby was beautiful too. Tragic and unthinkable crime.

Now, I am a criminologist by training...and this case almost brought me to tears...

The verdict and sentence were held up by appeal. According to her incarceration record, she'll be eligible for parole in 2049. Unless she's separated from the general population, I sincerely DOUBT that she'll make the date NOR will she EVER get parole. My ONLY regret is that she DIDN'T get a DEATH sentence!!

Aurora didn't get her chance to live her life, and that's truly the sadest thing about this. I hope her soul is resting blissful

We support 'human animals' every day in all walks of life. That statement doesn't condone what this demon did to the baby and mother. I am pro choice. I think if anyone intentionally criminally causes the death of an unborn fetus or embryo at any gestational age it should be murder. It is an expectation of any pregnant women who plans to have a baby that they will deliver a child. But for criminal actions a human being would be murdered. Itvwould be impossiblevto cut.thru.a uterine wall with out harming the baby wnd they ned the oxygen from.the mother. So.she was stupid to even attempT such an operation. I was delivered that way in an energency situation and the dr. was skilled. We both lived . Everyday is a miracle for me.

Awe I got goosebumps from her saying how she got emotional when HER DAUGHTER read a letter for leniency. Yet she'll never get a word or anything from her DAUGHTER why Colorado don't have laws against killing babies is disgusting

Her family really has some collective nerve to try to get leniency for that monster. Doing so makes me believe they're monsters, too.

If it was my mom, sister, aunt, cousin, even daughter, I would ABSOLUTELY NOT beg for her life. A BABY!!!! Any woman that could do this to another woman does not deserve oxygen.

That is the most unkind thing any human being can do I really feel for the victim and her family.😭

Another woman did the same thing and got the death penalty.

I just saw two people who abused and murdered their helpless 5-year old get sentenced to 25 years each. For some inexplicable reason, the shock-rate is less on that kind of crime, why?!?

If my child ever EVER killed, raped did anything like that they r no longer my child and I will beg the judge to give them life myself as just knowing the amount of pain they have caused another family they deserve all they get

I don't know what Colorado's good time law is, but in most states it's 2 for 1. She could be alive in 50 years if that's the case and she doesn't buck the system.

Idk how old she is. But the oldest living person that I'm aware of was over 120. I also heard rumors of someone who reached 130, but I'm not sure if its based on truth. That seems to be the extent of our life if we live healthy and productive.

Leniency??!! That defendant is a MONSTER. No sentence could be too stern for the horror of what she did.

I mean the baby wasn’t to far from being born, it’s ridiculous that they don’t consider unborn children 🤦🏼‍♀️

If that was my daughter I would say goodbye forever as this crime is UNFORGIVEABLE! Unconditional love comes with treating others and especially life itself as precious and if you take that away you dont deserve the love of a family.

A police officer and his wife kidnapped, removed baby, murdered, then buried his gf & baby, in a shallow grave. She had no idea he had a wife. What was their sentence??? 20 YEARS!!! THAT'S IT!!! That happened about 23 yrs ago, so it's really creepy to realize they're walking our streets as of now

Our Courts have become so liberal, so "woke," that perpetrators of the most heinous crimes are pampered, supported by taxpayers who would be shocked at the privileges & perks these monsters have, while the victims are seen as collateral damage, justice denied to their grieving families.

I agree with the sentencing….but I’m wondering why these same standards of sentencing aren’t imposed across the board? Why do vicious gang members , mass murderers etc. get out , to kill again?

If anyone from my family would do something so disgusting and evil, I would never acknowledge them as family.

100 years in jail is great. they should of said life in prison. the people in jail will take care of the rest, she's already marked for death the moment she steps inside prison. A "life sentence" isn't a life in jail it's considered the amount of time it would take to change someone's life it's usually 30 years that's why people get consecutive life sentences

Something similar happened in Chicago May 2019. A pregnant woman was lured by a Facebook ad that consisted of baby clothes and items. A trio (Mom and Daughter, and mom's pos bf) cut the baby out of the womb killing the woman. The baby didn't survive. The trio was caught because the mom claimed the baby as hers but part of her story did not add up as they went to the ER.

Years ago it would have been burnt at the stake. Now just house and feed it. VILE.
