I'm really happy with my X14 pair.

Congratulations from Brasil 😊.. I have an Edifier S350 DB speaker.. because Dynaudio is very expensive here, im Brasil. Huggs

S3000 Pro would be nicer sound.

I love the Focus 600 XD. Shame it's so damn expensive.

Btw I could take a streamer and connect is directly by cable to Dynaudio. This sounds great. Yet, putting a proper DAC like RME or Denafrips absolutely improves the sound. Audibly so.

Which Focus XD do you have? And which streamer did you use for this test?

@@tfj100 xd20. Limetree bridge from Lindemann, tiny device. I tried the revered Lumin U1 mini but didn’t hear much of a difference. RME made a significant different.

@@morespinach9832 Ok. I have XD60. I feed it with Antipodes Audio upgraded CX/EX combination, (equivalent of current K50). If you feed it a better streamer, you get better output, even though it goes through a DSP conversion inside the speaker. So it also makes sense that a better DAC in the chain gives a better outcome. But even if you go via the analogue connection, it still does the DSP conversion regardless.

All technical. How does the Sound compare? Across contour 20 and focus XD 20?

Contour will technically sound significantly better, especially the new i version tweeter which the Focus cannot compete with.

@@morespinach9832 Of course, if you pair the Contour with a terrible Dac, preamp and amp it could be made to sounds lesser than the Focus. But you would have to be quite determined about it as the Contour has higher quality drivers, crossover and cabinet build according to Dynaudio itself

No they are from Denmark.

Pause at 4:23. That doesn't look like a solid inert cabinet design. Looks kinda thin and having folds in mdf it would have to weaken it. Does not seem high end.

Folded design will make it more rigid than a flat design. And curved shapes will be better sonically as well.
