Contour 30 steps it up a notch from the 20. Of course, it still treads the same path - one of honesty, transparency, and sheer entertainment, but it puts it all in a bigger package.
Dynaudio have endowed the Contour 30 with two 18cm MSP drivers, as well as doubling up the rear ports. What makes their drivers so special? Variable thickness across the diaphragm, for one thing. And aluminium voice-coils, for another. Lighter weight, larger diameter and more windings means there is more control over the cone movement, and therefore over the sound reproduction - especially at high frequencies and high volumes.
Dynaudio have included the ultra-pure, ultra-clear Esotar2 fabric soft-dome tweeter. The Contour 30 also has new baskets to hold the drivers themselves, as well as a new crossover and new wiring, so now you can go louder and lower.

Everyone in the comments acting like Dynaudio makes their speakers out of egg shells smh. Wait until you see how the freight handlers do your precious egg shells. If anything happened to the speakers based on the way he handled them in the video, I wouldn't want to buy them anyway. Give me a break you softies.

Great channel. How would you say these compare to the q acoustic 500? Does the q acoustic have more bass?

Not a fare comparison. The Contours are $13-$13k (NZ Dollars) and the Q's are just $7,500. I prefer the Dynaudio's but the Q-500's are superb for the money.

The speakers are always well looked after. So you are simply complaining that the packaging is getting tossed about.
It was definitely not a pleasure watching you unBox the speakers taking everything and just tossing it like if it was a piece of junk.

We just have a little fun with these video's. There are too many people taking this kind of stuff too seriously. Yes we give the packaging a hard time, but the speakers are always well cared for.

Every time you unbox a speaker i find you disrespectful to the brand..Just trowing everything away..don't like it at all.

You will see that I 100% respect the speaker. Its that packaging that gets sent flying . (The Packaging... have a think about that for a moment)
All that money and gloss and tech and no BIWIRABLE connectors. What a waste!

DynAudio's crossover is superb. It is so good, it negates any advantage of bi-wiring. They are also a very stable 4ohm load, which might be negatively influenced by separating parts of it by removing bridging clips and bi-wiring. These speakers sound so good, I am very happy to accept a small thing like the binding posts.
