Love the research at the end, although the comment about their looks was a bit strange. It’s sounds like you’re stereotyping that “Asians look alike” which is not true. And In South Korean culture men actually take care of their skin, grooming and appearance which isn’t a bad thing. In KPop it’s normal to wear performance makeup, no different to the metal bands in the 80’s and people thought that was cool. BTS has a wide discography of music and covers different genres: hip hop, rap, R&B, pop, rock, edm, trap, latin, jazz, folk/alternative, classical, and even country! They’re very versatile, and have something for everyone. They are involved with writing and producing their songs too. Their live performances are on another level too. Like Michael Jackson level amazing. They also tied the Beatles’ for most #1 albums in a year and beat Adele’s 5 year record of most #1’s on iTunes and broke one of Michael Jackson’s 36 year chart record. “Dynamite” is very poppy made to be radio friendly. And it’s a song BTS said they wanted to release to give positive vibes to their fans and people during quarantine. It’s just all about good vibes, not made to be too serious. It’s actually not the style they’re most known for. BTS is made of 3 rappers and 4 singers and started out as hip hop group and 2 of their 3 rappers were well known in underground rap before they joined BTS. If you want to get a real taste of their range, check out these songs-they go hard! “ON Kinetic Manifesto Film”, “Mic Drop”, “Not Today”, “Fake Love”, “Daechwita”, “Black Swan” and “Fire” MV’s. BTS is on another level compared to other boy groups since BTS sing, rap and dance really well -triple threat next level!

With my mention concerning their "extravagant" look and also looking alike, I surely didn't mean it negatively, nor on a personal way. Never there is to be heard a word about they to be "Asian" looking alike. I was just giving my subjective as so objective observation on their artistic choice of style. But, again, as I mentioned afterwards, it isn't a great deal. Especially, after the clue I got, that this kind of look is a common one in Korea.

BTS have said that this song is for their fans specifically to lift up their mood due to covid19. This is probably the only title song they never involve in writing and producing as they said, they think the song already good in english from the demo the heard. BTS usually write n produce their own song. They said they never expect to release song, but due to pandemic they push to release new song n chose this one to make the fans happier. Seem like they achieve that as many of their fans love the video n music. About the appearance, its probably because you are not used with asian n kpop. BTS always changed up their styles like hairstyle, make up, clothing based on the concept of their songs. You can check out mic drop remix, black swan to see how versatile they are.

@n9, thanks for your comment and the interesting hints! You might be right - I'm not used to that form of style and look, not having watched once a boy-band korean music-video before.

Well their songs are always good and on top of the chart and their fans are not only teens in fact majority of them are older ones... Regarding their looks I don't mind at all..iconic figures in Music Industry like queen, prince, George Michael put on makeup and they are accepted without question why should bts be any different?

i appreciate the research you conducted but why did you have to bring up their appearances like that 😭 they can’t help the fact that they were born pretty lmao that’s just how they look. you not being able to differentiate between them is not their fault. i get what you meant but it does come off a bit racist when you say a group of asians all look the same.

Lawrence's Beyond oh ok! i just wanted to let you know that some may perceive it as racist. if you’re talking about their artistic look than you should know about concepts. this is big in kpop. because this is such a bright happy song, they reflect that with their appearances. they usually have a different concepts with each album/track.
