For me he died, considering for me BH 90210 ended in season 4, he died. The soap opera stuff that followed never happened for me

very true. BH90210 was all about the twins from Minnesota trying to find their way and adapt to the luxury and crazy life of Beverly Hills, so when Brenda left, and the twins' dynamic got ruined, there was nothing left but everyone sleeping with everyone, and typical soap opera nonsense. Such a shame this show got ruined so quickly.

....Luke did not PLAY in those scenes!! (0:27) / (0:57) ...personally, I thought the 'Dueling Dylans' wasn't needed (1:59)....Luke's acting was par EXELLANCE, in itself....It would've been nice to see "90210" stretch into darker territory (by 1993), instead of focusing on the Brenda / Kelly / Dylan love triangle ......

i totally agree, i think the show was at its best when it was focusing on brandon and brenda. in later season, meaning like, seasons 5 and onward, although maybe 5 still was relatively good, but definitely 6 and onward, it was WAYYY too soapie.

I agree with you. It lost its way, but Shannen seemed to leave her trail of terror on every show she starred in, including Charmed. It's like three or four seasons was her max commitment. It's sad, though, because she certainly was a fan favorite.

@@markmonroe652 yes for sure, i mean, i hated the whole summer of deception in season 3 and how everyone essentially ostracized the brenda character. plus i still don't understand how brandon could ever remain friends with dylan and kelly after what they did to his sister. i don't care how close him and dylan were, if MY BESTEST BESTEST BESTEST friend in the world did that to my sister, i would not longer be friends with them. and it wouldn't even be a tough decision. family first always!

@@markmonroe652 I like seasons 5 and 6 the best since they're the most action packed and over the top and who doesn't live Valerie? But yeah the show went into full on primetime soap opera mode like Melrose Place by season 5

@@MartinSmith156 I think the show planned to reveal Dylan's dad was alive in season 6 but they may have scrapped those plans when Luke Perry decided to leave.Josh Taylor was even told by the show's executive producers that Jack wasn't really dead and that his death was faked by the FBI and was going to reveal it down the line.

@@aph1976 Such a dumb storyline. When they did finally reveal that Jack was alive, nothing was ever addressed with him, like Suzanne and Erica. The subject never even came up, but he was remarried with a new wife and son... How crazy! Meanwhile he put Dylan through hell and back, again!

it makes no sense since the story of his survival is only for 3 episodes and Dylan is in much more than 3 episodes in season 6, where Charles had already left as showrunner@@aph1976

Technically, what we see there is not PTSD: it is autoscopy (the fact of seeing ourselves, the other being a concentrate of this part of ourselves that we reject). I like this idea and the fact that it's happening at this time. The scene in the car after the funeral is one of the best in the series. When Dylan gets angry with his double, he refuses to fall into alcohol again and decides that he will get through it. And there, the truth: the cynical, arrogant and bitter double is quite simply little Dylan. The climax being this moment at the end of the episode where Dylan consoles little Dylan.
