I was 5 years old 1967.. Don't underestimate the minds of children.. we little black girls couldn't wait to grow up and marry one..I used to be around my older sister's friends and the main topic would be what they liked about the men..the traits were, who could dance and dress, handsome, tall, slender, pigeon toed walk, and bow legged..At this time the Vietnam war was in effect and I'm sad to say many were gone by the time I was a teenager..Look at old footage of "Soul Train"...There were still fine men in the 70s..However I don't believe that I was cute enough for them...towards the 80s the waters started to dry up..
