Kyle Crane was kind of a hero to me for many years until I saw these videos... I know it wasn't his fault intentionally, but it's like every ounce of good he did was not just undermined, but completely wiped out because he inadvertently caused the death of what human civilization was before. It's a beautiful and tragic story.....but after loving this story and that character for so long, I also feel a bit nauseous.

Because if he hadn’t burned it, Brecken and those in the tower wouldn’t have needed to purchase it from Rais and Crane wouldn’t have forced that interaction as mentioned in the video. Sorry for the long tangent I js had the same thought you did nd it bothered me till I really thought abt it

Rais's men would have took it anyway, it was night with no time to stash it, and its all in the drop still

I always thought the neck snaps in this game were done with special care. This one's neck snaps were brutal.

Despite majority of dl’s characters being bar forgettable, Crane’s character development from GRE yes man to ninja parkour badass is extremely well done

He also has a redemption arch because in the beginning he has no problem burning the antezin that the tower people needed. But then as the game progresses he betrays the gre to help the people of Harran when before he had no problem hurting them

I was kind of sad with how the following ended but it's at least refreshing to get an ending to a zombie IP that isn't just "and they made it out alive and lived happily ever after". It was an ending to the story that kind of felt inevitable to me. Love dying light can't wait to play 2 at some point.

I see this comment on every small KZreadrs channel. The problem with this idea is not every single KZreadr can become large. There’s thousands of reaction channels that get no views also. There’s only so much time in the day and so many people to watch all the thousands of videos out there. That’s why he doesn’t get more views. There are thousands of KZreadrs making good content and only so many will get a viewership. It’s just how the world works. He has a good viewership compared to many small channels which is a good sign but we will just have to see.

I think the scream Crane lets out in the ending where he defies the mother is one of anguish of realising what he's turned into. Also to note, the sun is going down in that ending, meaning that he'll end up going fearl not too long after.

I love hearing about the first day/days of the outbreak in any zombie media

Kyle might have turned into something like the mother you know he might be normal in the day and loses control In the night.

it would be cool if he shows up doing the werewolf thing, chaining himself up at dusk, wakes up at dawn with claw marks all around him and then just unlocks the chains. XD properly handled the worst part of that condition is their features.

This was very in-depth I like it and I actually enjoyed dying light story and I like how dying light 2 story isn’t going to far away from the original one evan tho being 15 years after it still feels like it’s the same story.

You get right into the content and I like that. You didn't spend 7 minutes talking about what you're gonna talk about like everyone else does. You earned my sub for sure, keep up the good work

Even that's old video, i can say i learn a lot by this. History of game what have kinda both ends. One what's end with big explosion and second making plague rise on another side. I feel bad that end was kinda fetal for Crane.

Genuinely a great way to explain the game, great to listen to when I'm working.

All you have to do is search police cars or vans and they will eventually pop up in one of them. Btw I know this is a year late response.

Kyle kept one antizin for himself right, why didn't he use the vial on jade and use the one he had to himself?

I’ve played this game on and off for years, but haven’t bothered with paying attention to the campaign since my first play through, and doubt I would of before 2 comes out, so thanks for this.

Thanks Harry for this informative video ! As I’ve never played DL1 before, this is a good video for me to get a glimpse of the backstory of DL1. Very excited for DL2 and will be playing it on day one !

Yknow you could of easily finished dying light 1 and the dlc within the time of writing your comment to the release of dl2.. People are lazy asf nowdays

I finished playing Dying Light and I loved it it's amazing but I never played the DLCs because as much as I loved the game, it always gave me severe motion sickness so thank you for this video, it's really well explained. Great video

Everyone can agree that The first night time mission in dying light or just the night time in it in general is just very scary.

Did you all notice that the building 😣is on the other side of the Giant wall? That was everyone's escape route once the infected were eliminated in it. But that would end the story. So why wasn't it on this side?

Awesome story breakdown, I plan to play the new one once it releases so I hope the new game is as good as the first.

Been playing it ever since around it was released and I cannot stop playing the game. God the game is such a fucking blast to play.

Kyle Crane is the perfect example of the life soldiers lead. They could be good people, but they often carry out heinous acts without knowing why and they never question orders. I still love him, though.

I remember my first encounter with the volatile, saw the dude and despite the fact they looked like some mutated aliens that sounded like the 9 circles of hell combined, i thought to myself, nah i can take these guys......oh man how wrong i was ...... needless to say every time i found myself out at night after that i'd bolt to the nearest safehouse

ok so i love the game right but there one thing that has always confused me. the 1st mission at night where u have to destroy the antizin he takes one and he never uses it so then crane would would have saved him self and jade right? or am i wrong

I absolutely love Harran as a setting. It has been a whike since I played but from what I remember is that Harran is a middle eastern country. Such a fresh new setting than somewhere like America. This game was so ahead of its time.

i remember when people were overinterpreting the fuck out of the ending and the nuances of the scenery where kyle turns into a volatile to prove it was actually the mothers vision or some shit and something about the mother and kyle seeing her life it was so desperate.

You’ve done a very good job. One bit of correction though? The GRE didn’t refuse to take Hassan out necessarily. They more or less dicked around until he was devoured by The Infected. Amazing cannon explanation though 👌
