I have to say that watching you two dye has really made me feel like I can do it. Sooo I dyed my fiber love diary TDF shirt to the color I wanted yay! I had wanted the green but it was sold out so my shirt is now a teal green and I really love it! The sheep is soo sweet on it 💜

Both you color choices came out great!!! I think giving specifics of a batt, then getting dibs is a great idea !! Maybe with a "conditionish" to post results after spinning or felting. That way you have to use it and it doesn't languish in a stash??? Lots of knitting wips, that are socks, so I'll knit with the tribe on socks, although one pair is from further in the book. I'll save that to knit with you!!! Have a great rest of your week all!!! 🙃🙃

I've said it before but I'll say it again, I love it when you two dye together!!!! I love John's bountiful explanation about how you make his life bountiful, he's so thoughtful. All the fiber/yarn is so beautiful!! I would totally be down for the buy the batt before it's made thing but alas I will be at work on Friday (assuming I am over the flu) It's a really cool idea, I hope some people do it.

That one was looking Easter 'ish until it was dry and braided...now it's spring flowers. All are nice. The purple green sock yarn reminds me of hyacinths. The red braid could be called "Roses in bloom"?

I like the batt idea. I saw this last year at the fiber festival and thought it was a neat way to sell them and engage the community.

Some of those powders are so much like glaze for pottery. You open it up and it's yellow, you sprinkle it and it gets wet and suddenly it's a dark green to black. Just wow.

Those are all so beautiful! Your Farm Truck fiber is my favorite, I think. I always love live batt making. If people purchase ahead of time, does that mean the group doesn’t get input like they usually do? Just wondering how it would work. I’m always happy to be at a live!

I never considered putting the dye in the pan before water and fiber. Does that allow for more color on the bottom? John’s farm truck is so pretty!

Yes, I do it almost always when I use dry powder. Once you add the water, the colors go everywhere so this avoid flipping and making mud
