Dutch Oven Pizza

Making homemade pizza in a 12" Lodge dutch oven during a recent camping trip to Hocking Hills, Ohio. To achieve a 425 degree temperature, place approximately 10-12 pieces of charcoal underneath the dutch oven and another 20-25 pieces on the lid. Let cook for 20 minutes and check. Then be sure to check every 3-5 minutes to make sure that your crust does not burn on the bottom.
For spices, I like to use salt, pepper, garlic powder, and italian season. For toppings, I used pepperoni, jalapeno, banana pepper, sausage, green olive, fresh mushroom, and mozzarella cheese. I hope that you enjoy!

    This makes the best homemade pizza in my opinion. You can do this at home by just placing the dutch oven into your oven. The end result is closer to a deep dish style pizza because of the way that the crust rises up around the edge of the dutch oven. Try it out and let me know if you have any other things food that you would like to see me make!
