It's the quality of the sound of her voice.......there are thousands of female singers that have great talents as singers but Dusty Springfield stand out as the best "quality female voice " in Pop History, adding her perfect intonation, vibrato control, and perhaps one of the few female singers, who could deliver bass-notes and high-notes without losing Balance......skilled singer she was, even today with such variety and abundance of lady singers....her voice will stand the test of time, among the millions.

Such a powerful and soulful singer. Damn she could sing a song. Rest in Peace Ms Dusty Springfield, in my book, you were one of the best, no question.

Dusty > Cilla > Dionne Cilla has the most powerful delivery, Dionne's the most soulful, but Dusty finds a happy medium between them both. And she has the most pleasing tone out of all three.

This lady had Soul ,right through her body ! I was a young boy in the mid 60's. My late father had a picture of her on the living room wall, Mother wasn't to thrilled, but it remained there for years, What a legend.

Sublime. Sad to say this....but I truly believe those that gave this a thumbs down don't deserve to have ears.

I was too young to really appreciate how good Dusty Springfield was when this song came out. Plus it was the brink of the British Rock Invasion. Glad I heard this soulful song on the radio yesterday.

This version of "Anyone Who Had A Heart" from Dusty always brings me back to my childhood...growing up in San Francisco. Dusty Springfield's voice is pure joy to my musical heart. Endless thank you Dusty, for your dear inspiration beyond words. Personal all time favorite vocalist from such a magical era.

This is an excellent version by the great Dusty Springfield. I also think the Dionne Warwick recording was superb. .

I loved Dionne before I stumbled across Dusty's catalog. Once you get hooked on Dusty it's like you can't go back. Her versions are simply beautiful, and I love both versions. She could sing anything.

A true legend, the top female vocalist.

Spine tingling soulful rendition of a wonderful song. Sets my hair on end on occasions brings a tear or two to my eyes

Burt Bacharach was always impressed about Dusty. The two have worked several times in the past. Dusty always liked Burt. Their amazing collaboration of the Look Of Love are asthonishing! R.I.P. Dusty and Burt!

It sounds like Bacharach may well have been involved with this recording. It's close to the original recorded by Dionne Warwick

Very good song directed to a callous or indifferent lover. One really feels the lamentation of this song in the verses "anyone who had a heart would take me in his arms and would always love me, why won't you?" .

dusty was a truly great singer , but i'am even more impressed by what a truly great human being she was .

For me, the best & most perfectly-sung version of this song. Effortless. Note-perfect. Emotional.

Such a shame that people feel a need to praise their favorite singer by bad mouthing another. The 3 notable versions of this classic are Dionne's, Cilla's and Dusty's. Dionne had a hit in US, Cilla in UK and Dusy recorded it for her first Album(solo). All have their supporter's, but of course Lovely. Legendary Dusty's is mine. But I have no desire or need to denigrate the other versions.

No need to get self-righteous. I don't like Cilla's voice, I'm sorry. I have a right not to like her version and to express that. I genuinely dislike it. I don't voice my displeasure with it to make Dusty look better because Dusty's voice and performance speaks for itself. I just don't like Cilla's version.

I love this version of this song. Dusty had such a great range of styles with her songs. A great voice that just got better and better. Sadly missed.

Not only was she a great singer. but she was really, really beautiful.

Lovely version of this classic song. I only ever heard Cilla’s version which I also love.

I discovered this song with Dusty when I was dealing with the worst heartbreak so far (and hopefully the last one too) I remember connecting so hard to the lyrics I just started crying, and repeated it over and over again... Today my heart is all healed, but I can't help but reviving the pain whenever I hear this beautiful song, and I can't help but listening to this cause well, it's Burt Bacharach by Dusty Springfield, it doesn't get better than that!

Oh God! To think I limited my amount of Dusty to just "the look of love" she's frigging amazing! I have to catch up for all the time loss! And this one in particular rings soooo close to home. Another tune to make company to my broken heart

This is beautiful and so wonderful. Sandie Shaw also covered it in 1982 which is so different from the major three recordings. Dusty is incredible. I'm glad she recorded it.
