Dionne is the real deal!! She studied music in college and came from a very talented family of vocalist. She enunciates every word and has perfect control of her voice!! Amazing and legendary! Burt Bacharach, Hal David and Dionne were heaven sent. We are blessed with their beautiful music!!

Not surprised - in all her performances - either in a closed studio production like this video, or in front of a full blown live orchestra on a outdoor festival stage, she just walks right on, doesn't miss a beat finding her spot, and invariably nails it on the very first note, no matter how difficult - it's stunning craftsmanship

My big sister was listening to her in the late 60s. I was much younger, but noticed something special in her voice and the songs written for her. She sang songs that many singers today could not pull off due to the harmonic content and floating/changing time signatures. Absolutely brilliant. 🙏🏾👏🏾❤️

I believe that Dionne started out singing Gospel music. To this day I have never heard a vocalist with a more beautiful tone to their voice. Her songs are sheer poetry and mezmerizes her audience as she sings her narratives. IMHO, there has never been a better musical team than Dionne, Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Their songs have remained timeless for six decades. 😅

When you have heard the best, the rest can only be a complement or a weak imitation .Dionne Was the standard that all the rest of the singers mentioned in the preceding post tried to duplicate.Dionne voice made the song writers rich as her superior interpretive and tender embrace of the lyrics were so powerful and compelling with out equal, a Goddess in Human Form.

My granddad loved this woman. I remember him speaking so fondly of her. It was in the 80s. I was only a preteen, but I remember how much his heart lite up about Ms Warwick. Oddly enough I had absolutely no clue that she was Whitney’s cousin, who we (the younger generation) was falling in love with as well. We fell so far in love we named Whitney The Voice! Well Oprah did. Lol but we all agreed. Talk about serendipity!!! Both of those women wrote the song track to so many lives..😉
