Lol, I’m not saying you’re one of them; but for the last 20 some years, the IWC actually think Seven was supposed to get this big long push, and Dustin went into business for himself and as a shoot, buried the gimmick on live TV. Really it was a just a one-off thing to elevate Dustin Rhodes the wrestler (no gimmicks attached), and set him up as an anti-authority character.

Seven was a gimmick created by Dustin, but he said that the network didn't like because in the vignettes they filmed a kids eyes turned black and they thought it was satanic. So he had to bury the character on TV to end it.

I’ll give him credit, goldust should have failed hard, it was a cartoon era gimmick "like the undertaker abet not as monumental" and he got it over pretty well, and ultimately was able to even win intercontinental championships and brought back and reprise the role for long after it should and could have been buried, but he did it! Mad respects for making the most of what he was given!

Well also AOL/Time-Warner/Turner had Vince McMahon sign as part of the contract that he couldn't run WCW as a company anywhere else. Which is why we never saw WCW as a brand extension like we did with ECW.

Can anyone tell me where I can find the shirt Dustin is wearing in the interview? I've looked around and can't find anything about it.

The match was pre-taped which means it could very well have been right before Hogan showed up in WCW. I wish marks would shut up and listen for once lol.

Hulk Hogan was in WCW in 1994, Nasty Boys were in WCW 1993, so the story doesn't make sense

Hogan earned wayyyyyyyyy more than 350000 in the wwf, 350000 was normally a ppv payoff for one night

It was actually the backers that Eric Bischoff needed to buy wcw backed out (no pun intended) from helping Bischoff buying wcw, because Turner didn’t want wcw. So, Vince McMahon was the only person who wanted to buy wcw as nobody else wanted it.
