Simon's ex girlfriend was responsible for getting him introduced to the band.He should have acknowledged that and gave her credit(Fiona Kemp)...that girl changed his life forever.

I saw John about a month ago in concert. I was pretty close to the stage (they usually let the shorties go close so they can see) and he still looks amazing. Very tall and slender.

i noticed that too after watching a few interview shows from the early to mid 80's then remember how he sounded in the late 90's for the behind the music episode.

Mention for World Party's ''Ship of fools''; WHAT a song!

Gosh! is so funny. When Joan asked who is the wild one I feel John wanted to hide because he knew the answer! haha! poor, the girl sold him! I watch it over and over again and it´s still funny! He is shocked when he hear the scream. Thanks 4 this!

I was watching Three to Get Ready and Nick said Duran shouldn't do this interview and Simon agreed. I do believe their manager made them do this interview lol

@ciarra justice I'm not really sure, but I think there was talk that there were actually a couple reasons that they took a hiatus from DD when they did, and this is just a guess, but I think that's when they formed the two separate groups, because they were supposedly having some management and contractual problems, and were trying to resolve those conflicts. After all, they still needed to make a living. Maybe they discovered they needed less meddling, and that they no longer needed a so called "middle man." As it was, they ultimately did fire their managers and started managing themselves. They mentioned this in the documentary, "Three to get ready."

John, Nick and Simon said on there 1987 documentary that they didn't want to do this show because they were afraid it was going to hurt there tour. John insisted on only talking about the tour and nothing else, but instead as you can see, they only talked about how Rodger and Andy left

alex kanyima I think it was worth it to hear her ask who the wild one was when they were wild and that girl screamed out JOHN!! I've replayed that about a bijillion times, it was hilarious! Poor John, he wanted to be anywhere but there, he knew the answer to that one!! The look on ALL their faces was priceless! Nick liked it too, he has such a cute laugh and he flashed that beautiful smile. Simon didn't look quite as happy, he knew John was pissed. Did you see how he looked at John with that 'oh shit, sorry mate' expression as soon as she started talking about husbands, babies, etc?Absolutely NO interviewer would have just talked about the tour. Did they really expect that?? That would have been kinda boring. She asked about how they met, started the band, asked about Andy and Roger, just once, asked about bands they liked, etc. I dont see how that could have hurt their tour. I love that DD trio, but John is my absolute fave. They still got to talk about the tour, they sang, so all is well. It was a great interview imo.

Kirsi Niiranen Arcadia was active in 1985, but sorta disbanded after Duran came back in 1986

He actually took his inspiration from David Sylvian/Japan and actually liked their music. Which is why there is a lot of similarities. Nick has stated this that he liked Japan and took some inspiration from Japan/David Sylvian both musically and visually x

he had something like 10 different haircuts between 1979 and 1987, so it isn't just the Sylvian style. Sylvian never looked like Nick in the Arcadia clips, for example

The Verve were a bit young back then so yes likely The the was what Simon said. The Verve got big around almost 10 years later, with their hit bittersweet symphony written by the Rolling stones.

In accent terms Ozzie is North(possibly east-ish) Birmingham whereas Duran are South West Birmingham. I mean in the rush hour they are an hour and a half apart by car and several hours by public transport. You can go to another country and a different language in that time!

Os integrantes do Duran Duran sem dúvidas até os irmãos Taylor todos eram lindos,porém esnobes e metidos,talvez seja uma característica dos ingleses se acham superiores dos demais. Acho lindo homens elegantes mas no caso deles se tornava um charme cheio de narcismo.Duran Duran são ótimos como músicos e banda como pessoas não tem carisma caras metidinhos.
