Duo's unhinged marketing is definitely a big part of what keeps my streak going. Like, I'm not even learning anything from it at this point because it's 1% of what I do for language learning and now it's all review of stuff I've learned elsewhere, but the parasocial bond just gets stronger and stronger lol

That’s a valid point, Duolingo isn’t the best way to learn languages per se but it’s an app a lotta people use and it can help reinforce whatever language you learned in school 😂

My brother randomly sent me the one where Duo rocks up at the subscriber's house. I went on an hour long binge that night and laughed til I cried. I don't understand some of them, but it's still hilarious. The BBL is my favorite
