Awesome comparison. 😎🤘🏻🎸 I use to use nickel plated strings for its warm rich sounds, but later switch to stainless steel strings for clarity and punch. I’ve been using Dunlop strings for years and it served me well. And I have been thinking of using nickel plated strings once again.

Very nice video, thanks 👌🏿 I play a Status Graphite S2 Classic 5 Strings Headless Bass, which already has a 'natural growl', so the Nickel accentuate that more. I think the Steels would sound better on it. Greetings from Uganda 🇺🇬👊🏿🖤

I prefer Nickle bass strings...They have a growl to them that give my playing a little extra mean streak that I like.

Nickels for a 4-string, Steels for a 5-string. Nickels are just too flabby for the low B.

The Nickels seem to have more harmonic depth to them. They are also more growlier!

I'm going for the steel. I'm a 6 string fretless player and the steel sounds so good with the over tones on the wood.

This is a very good video, Ozan. You bass is beautiful. I love the fretboard especially. You playing is excellent. I even like the slapping which is very tasteful. Normally I dislike slap bass. The nickel strings are my preference but the steels are okay too.

I just bought my first set of steel strings and while I love the sound, they feel very rough to the touch! Is this supposed to be so? By the way they are daddario prosteel.

Steel, it just sounds alot more alive to me than nickel that just sounds a little dull. Warm yes, but dull

Dane Vechart I like new nickels especially in the studio...but they die off fast, worn in steels otherwise because they stay in that sweet spot for a longer period of time. On fretless it really depends on the fingerboard and pickups.

I'd prefer steel strings bc it won't corrode, so it'll save money whenever the string is dirty or sounded dull just boil it, then you'll get a fresh string tone 😂
