I'm glad you highlighted that clacking noise, i tried the flow 4.2mm and love the feel of a thick pick but it makes that kind of noise too, i compare it to tapping on the string with a glass slide and when trying to play fast distorted stuff it becomes a noticable pitch to itself

I am having trouble with the Jazz III. I usually use a super stubby plectrum, but recently switched to the jazz III. Now some lead runs I can play faster, but it seems so thin compared to my 3mm plectrum. Also I am losing skin trying to strum chords LOL. I am going to stick with it for a few weeks, but I may go back to the stubby if I hit a brick wall/ Also it sometimes sounds quite tinny

@@midpupposIII I got used to it better, but recently switched to the Dunlop flow. The slightly bigger size and the grip is helping.

I love picks and pick comparisons. I have used many of Dunlops offerings over the years. I switched to metal picks a while back and do not see returning to plastic or composite picks. The tone I am now getting is unparalleled with the Zenfire picks I discovered. People don't know what tone they are missing. BTW ....... I want that Tele !!

Have you tried anything from V-Picks? I also use the JazzIII, which I love, but have found several of the V-Picks brand I really like. Check out the Mummy, Dinension, Dimension Jr. and the fusion. Of course there are many more models...some are rather pricey! Also, as an experiment, I tried some of the "tonewood" type picks. These wood picks can deliver a nice "warm" tone for some styles...however, for me, not for general everyday playing. I have read that alot of acoustic playes like them.

Never heard of that! Will give it a try. Any idea what difference it's supposed to make?
