Dumpster Diving - Casting Copper Cables - Trash To Treasure - 1100°+ ASMR Metal Melting - BigStackD

Ойын-сауық

Today i make an awesome big Copper bar with a mirrored finish from cables i pulled from a bin. I don't particularly like climbing through bins but some of the pieces that can be found can be turned into something spectacular. Ï found a heap of old discarded cables and stripped and melted them into a great copper bar.

HOW TO MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it👌🏻😁.

Where do you usually look for some good stuff? Like what establishments are you dumpster diving at for these great finds? I used to work maintenance for an owner associated private complex and we had a huge dumpster in the maintenance yard that was specifically for bulk items like furniture appliances and building materials and I found so much shit in there it’s crazy. If there is anything I miss about that job it was my weekly dives for treasure. It was mainly an area for renters and seasoned vacationers due to it being on the same mountain with a ski resort. They decorated a lot of the houses with old hand and farm tools as well as some high class appliances that I ripped many apart lol. Anyway thanks for sharing bro, awesome video.
