Dumbbell Chest Press on Foam Roller

One of my clients training for the UGA swim team. This press variation is excellent for increasing activation of stabilizers, forcing the body to stay tight, engraining proper spinal alignment, and also allowing the scapula to move freely. Can also be done single arm or with barbell.

    You don't need two people to load. Set the dumbells to each side of you, on their ends . Lay on foam roller, pick up the dumbells while pushing your elbows into the ground. Easy as can be.

    Why do you do the dumbbell press with the arms "in" instead of outward like I'm used to seeing? Is this motion for triceps or for shoulder safety?

    actually still blasts the chest just as much but easier on the shoulder joint and pec tendon
