They need to have more modes. For the people that just want to dribble the entire shot clock out, have an “arcade” mode for them. For the people that want a more genuine basketball experience, have a mode for them.

Just give the defenders adrenaline boost to keep up and move faster laterally, to force ball pickups. But not for steal spamming. That's how you balance it.

However the game is when it drops is how they need to keep it. Unless something is broken, don’t break it. Tweaks and improvements are fine but when they start changing mechanics like shooting to be easier/harder or now all of a sudden I can’t pass the ball that’s an issue. Adapting is one thing but feeling like you have to make a new build because of the latest “update” is insane.

This is why they shouldve kept the dribbling like 2k19. You could still left right but only with takeover. There was no left righting without takeover unless you had a pure playmaker but you actually had to be able to time your shot with pure playmakers.

Everyone complains about adrenaline boost and I get it.. it’s a video game and you want to have fun. I’m just going to say think of it from a perspective of actually playing basketball. All them damn spam dribble moves.. you will get tired as fuck in real life and then playing a full contact game.. 2k tried to approach a real life action in-game and it wasn’t tweaked correctly but at the same time.. because of that it goes over everyone’s head as to why it was implemented to begin with.

At this point, either Ubisoft or Insomniac games need to buy the 2K company, you know the.....the gaming companies that actually add value and common sense to their video games

I love adrenaline in the game personally. They just wanna waste our time dribbling. Defense would also become more annoying because of the steal spam and block spam. Even so, they need to not allow you to go for passing lanes when you run out of adrenaline at all.

badges actually need to be toned down. You having a player with a 99 with 10 badges, shouldn't be worse than a player with an 80 and 20 badges. They should enhance your attributes, but not be the sole source of you getting animations.

The way they tried for solve left right cheese with adrenaline boost. Adrenaline boost wasn’t a fix, the problem was handle for days allowed you to dribble out the shot clock. If they found a sweet spot with stamina and handle for days then there is no need for adrenaline boost.

I left 2k years ago. When they had KB (basketball) as the intro song. I was on the horn with 2k endlessly about the flaws I had with the game. When the ball kept going through my head, when I had maxed out the difficulty level. I couldn't!!!

I have 2 main issues with the game that need to be fixed, 1st the shot timing due to the crap contests has got to be fixed, dont punish me for knowing my shot timing and then changing it because somone closes out, theyre bailing out bad defense by doing that, if theyre not playing up tight defense or trying to help, they shouldnt be getting back and getting contest, next pleae fix the wack paint defense

Stopping left right was never an issue what so ever, if you were good. It was only problematic when you got stunned and started sliding. All 2k had to do to fix it was fix the shot contest and remove stuns and force the offensive player actually rely on real combos

2k23 have stunt when playing passing lanes then trying to run out 3 feet to contest a 3. 2k23 has nothing good to stand on, mycareer and gameplay all is trash.

I have no issue with adrenaline returning. All people do is spam square, or spam dribbles. I play rec and don't care to watch dribble heads on my team or the other team. 2K needs me up there.

I’m not mad at the adrenaline, I still can do plenty and now keeps the team more involved. Instead of iso and corner sitting constantly.

And mostly all teams balance now they need to change the online match where you can pick any team you want

My thoughts I don’t know how anyone else would feel about this but when making your build would it be a good idea to like choose an actual nba player or two and that’s who your build will be around so you can’t make it to crazy or even just one player so say you choose giannis you just get all his stats and badges he can get if that at all makes sense

Honestly, one way to kill all that spam dribbling is to stop giving full stamina back just bc a shot goes in. That's one thing I liked about Live's online play. If you dribbled your stamina out then scored, you still had no stamina unless you let go of turbo. That would be more realistic. They need to tone down shot contest from a distance. Great shooters, you have to be right in their face to affect them. Jumping way after they shoot isn't saving you much. They need to slow down defensive jumping and speed up most dunk animations or how high you jump should be determined by where your stamina is. Players don't always jump max height when out of position. The defense in the air is just so much faster. Make height matter especially when shooting. Jokic is hard to guard irl because of his height and how he shoots, on 2k you can never get a shot off with him (not talking about hook shots). Shooting should be a little inconsistent with lower ratings or make it to where your jumper cant be super fast unless youre above a certain rating. That would get rid of the 5 out PFs and Cs who have like 65s in 3s from going 10 for 10, it's not realistic. If they made people going for steals or blocks aim to do so, that would change alot too. It's happened for me as well and I hate it. I'll hit Y/Triangle to block a layup but they pass it and the game ran me to the shooter and jumper to give me a contest, that's not realistic. If you're going to brand yourself as a SIMULATION then it needs to be more realistic. If they were solely an ARCADE game then keep it how it is. There are quite a few other things that would make it more realistic but these the main annoying ones. Oh, they could speed up passing and change heights and angles on them. Passing so freaking slow its ridiculous. The first thing any coach will tell players is, the ball moves faster than the person.

Getting away with a 78 3ball rating because the shooting badges are unbalanced af is ridiculous

Bro one thing that needss to be fixed is paint defense. You can sit up here and tell it’s balanced or your fine with 6’3 gaurds and 6’7 dunking on builds (Not just centers) with 85+ block. Imagine spending $50 on a player that’s 6’9 max wingspan, 99 block, and 92 vertical and still gets dunked on my 6’2 gaurds. Doesn’t make sense.

Not that simple boss. If that was the case the rim running/slashing as a whole wouldnt even be possible if its simply shut down due to a bigger size and stat. It would just become a shooting game and not nba. So there has to be a balance Of course there needs to be senseable ranges of height and stats for it to happen and yea, 6'3-6-5 even with max dunk and hof poster shouldnt be able to body a bigman who has hof defense badges unless that big just rly messed up their build and trying to play a durk in the paint or something with no defense, then being jammed on by little heights make sense. But 6'6+ is decent, at that point it needs to come down to who has the better stat and badges. 6'6+ vs Big - 6'6+ has hof posterze and high dunk, if big doesnt have the necessary hof badage/stats? Should get bodied most of the time. Otherwisw, 6'6+, should get shutdown 50% of the time if that big does have proper stats and badges and is in position to contest. This balances it out realistically. Anything under 6'6 shouldnt be able to consistently body hof bigs tho. Thats how you fix that.
