I have been a duke fan around forty years. I have watched 13 final four teams. Five national titles. So many great memories. Only reason I became a duke fan. My mom when I was vary young. Bought me a duke shirt. I decided this would be my favorite college basketball team.

The stretch mid way through the second half where Dunleavy drilled three 3s in a row and somewhere in that span Battier making an incredible blocked shot is something i will always remember about this game.

I watched this game, luckily I've gotten to watch Duke since 87. Anyways with 47 seconds to go Jay Williams is fouled and they talk about coach k and his wife becoming grandparents again a week earlier to Micheal Savarino which of course now plays for his grandfather at Duke and has for the last several years. When I saw that during the game I remembered from the original broadcast but clearly didn't remember it until I saw it again. Anyways I just thought it was cool that they talked about Micheal just being born during the national championship game and now he plays for coach k at Duke in what is coach K's final season. I would love to hear coach k. And Micheals name both said at this year's national championship game 😈

He was a solid player and a good passer. All-American in college on a team that went to the finals. Averaged 12/6/4 as a starter on the best team in the NBA(Lakers). Started 150 games and won 2 rings and made 33 million. I’d take that career any day.
