It's open and working as usual. We flew in few days ago. Even the city has been cleaned up.

They literally built Dubai on pilings built in the ocean. Saw a documentary on it. Not a smart idea. The wise man built his house on a rock.

I predict that the most wanted items, which will become highly sought after, will be inflatables. Anything which can safely transport small domestic animals (cats and dogs) little children, even the elderly, adults etc. Enterprising folk should prepare by ordering such items and others may seek desperate measures by removing from someone's private swimming pool any left unattended. Enterprising folk who are not bothered by wadding into deep water, not the risk of effluent which could also be present, should invest in a small rowing boat, or at least a sturdy inflatable. They can then spread word about they can be called and hired to transport luggage, small domestic pets, children or even adults. Also investing in domestic pet carriers for cats and small dogs, should also prove to be a worthwhile financial investment! Or just being on call to go and collect milk or groceries or whatever etc!
