Dubai has a perfect model of how a desert city is prepared for a flash flood in a predominantly dry desert climate. That is Las Vegs. I've been there when it is so dry everything is dusty and arid desert. I also got caught in the Excalibur and hotel when the heavens opened and they would have a years worth over rain in a 5 hour period even going so far as all the lights went out in Vegas down the main road. They built a drainage system for just in case. The ther thing is simply stupid and disgusting. Instead of having a good sewage system they would collect all the human waste in a storage tank. Then sewage carrying trucks would drain it into the tank trucks just to haul it away during the night. With the flood closing everything the sewage transport trucks were unable to pick up their Nightly haul needed to wait until the city with no drainage system pumped all that rain water away!! WOW!! What a mess!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😇

There is no drainage in this city that’s built on sand , the buildings won’t last as the rains become more frequent , they had the same last November, so flooding is regular here , this was not the one off event they would have you believe .

This place is known for all it's riches and over the top everything. This is just a reminder that the All Mighty is always watching and will humble you at a blink of an eye.
