I don't know much about Austria. I've lived in Germany for couple of years and I hated it. I've never been so happy in my life than the day I left Germany. Terrible country.

I know it's frustrating, but giving up Austria for USA is madness. You already have both US and Paraguay residency. What more could you possibly need for a good life? Besides, Austria is your beautiful homeland. Fight the Austrian govt but don't renounce.

Thank you. I'm very happy with what I have. The problem arises if you want to be outside the US for years; it would be hard to get back in.

I would use the Austrian passport to live in another EU country like Ireland then naturalize there which solves the dual citizenship issue.

Hey man, it’s neat to hear the topic of Austrian citizenship but current polls show most Austrians do not want changes to loosen the citizenship law. I have never been to Europe or Austria but I do hold duel citizenship. I do hold Austrian passport. I would never give up my Austrian citizenship if I was given the choice between my other.

Best of luck for your citizenship by descent. You assume the US exit tax threshold will increase, but it has not since it's inception in 2008 with the HEART Act, a bill written to provide tax relief for US soldiers. If anything, the real value of the cap is getting smaller due to inflation. You have some unique challenges with your existing citizenship and Argentina could provide some way for you, but imo should be a last resort route. Keep up the great content.

If a German citizen receives another citizenship and if he/she has not going through yet another German bureaucratic process, they will automatically lose their German citizenship. For German citizens wishing to keep their German citizenship, they need to go through a difficult bureaucratic process to prove why they need to keep their German citizenship. They need to prove their "links" to Germany and their "reasons" for keeping their German citizenship.

All the people in your space (Wealthy Expat, Nomad Capitalist, etc) are trying to renounce their U.S. citizenships and you want to obtain it. Please do a video on why you find US citizenship attractive and why you a want to get it as an EU citizen. P.S. I'm an American and would never renounce my US citizenship.

@@user-ov5nd1fb7s There was/is someone (?) on youtube explaining his wife presented her Italian passport to Japanese customs - the wife was Japanese and was given a hard talking to. The husband ( was a diplomat? ) got her another Italian passport pronto. Of course, could've been just a story(?). Also, The Netherlands and Spain don't allow dual nationality. Although, with Spain there are exceptions ( e.g. old colonies & footballers).

@@NomadElite exactly. The daily question would be "do i still have Austrian citizenship today?" And even if you manage to keep it forever, its not worth the constant hassle. And if you have kids and even after your passing they find out somehow, they might revoke your kids' citizenship because it was ackquired illegally. You don't want to end up in this corner cases of the legal system.

Undemocratic is an understatement. Recently had a referendum on conscription which is for young men only yet the whole country including women and those who had not previously served were allowed to vote. What a joke.
