@DIYAudioGuy yes one day my goal is to have a garage or building I can pull a vehicle into and work on it without worrying about rain or cold or wind etc... but for now I'm doing what I can. So it will have to be good enough. Although I am getting better by the day so that's all that matters. I guess. I literally eat sleep and breathe car audio. Im teaching myself daily everything there is to know about it. I've came a long way but I'm nowhere near on a level like you or some others are on. I'd consider you a master of audio for sure man. Hey man what do you have for tools? I started out with a jig saw and used factory edges... That was 20 something years ago, not much has changed. Table saw sucks for big cuts. Rather use a tracked skill saw and a router circle guide with chamfer bits to get as much meat for the fasteners. Holy long winded drunked texts. No wonder I am single.... How do you like MDF and PL premium caulking?

And on my drunkin rambling. 40 - 60 grit sanding paper with sanding blocks will make your home made boxes look like gold. Rome wasn't built in a climate controlled facility! You don't need a sweet enclosed garage. (It helps out huge) But an extension cord and a big tree to work under, or maybe a portable gazbo/shed if you're rich. Hope to hear your reply. Ambition is 90% You can fix the f#ck ups.. Research and don't give up trying. Good will hunting said it best. "I got the same education for $3.00 in late fees..

Sweet project! However with those little 8's a lot of options open up. This would make a sick center console sub box! With a few extra pieces to accommodate cup holders and maybe a change tray, it would be near invisible. Aside from the "shacken not stired" drinks its all good? For those people without space but want that thump without a trunk... Yah yah make your your own sub box. And leave your build alone... Ok ok, put down phone and grab drink.

You can throw that miter gauge away after that. Much safer to cut with the sled and you'll get perfect 90 degree cuts every time. Use the tape and the stop and you won't need to mark anything anymore. Line up the stop to your dimension and then cut perfect every time. My sled is the number 1 best jig I ever made for my shop.

Using TWO is basically cheating as now it's like a single 16 inch Lets see low low bass with just ONE 8 inch sub!!! ...My car came with an 8 inch subwoofer back in 1999 But I think its around 400w and in a plastic enclosure

Your math is very wrong. You want to look at the actual surface area. Two 8 inch subs have roughly the same area as a single 11 inch sub. So in between a single 10 and 12 inch sub. Roughly speaking.

Also, it would not be anywhere near 400 watts. Most cars in that time period my deliverer 50 to 100 actual watts then they would call it 400 watts to make it sound more impressive. Kind of like maximum 400 W power!

I guess that depends. On how you define "the day."
