I remember my Dual 1214. Great turntable. Replaced it with a Technics once I started working in Radio because the turntables in the station were Technics and I got a great deal on one. I still use the Technics as my primary turntable. I changed because it was easier to change cartridges on the technics. I'll have to take a look at my old 1214 as I still have it carefully stored away.

These videos are amazing! I was able to get my 1214 working again! It would be helpful if you could have a detailed-close up video on how to remove the ring in the spindle area. I am having issues removing and putting back in. I unfortunately damaged the receptable trying to remove. Appreciate your help!

I’ve got one of these mechanical turntables, very similar design. It was SO gummed up that was completely stuck, the grease was cemented

are those round balls with the dots caps or varistors..I got 4 varistors in my quadraplex, possibly controlling bias, think one might be bad or going bad, not sure what to replace them with these days

Yeah Dave those carts should be set at 1.5 grams to 2 grams they are very good carts! I have a R27E from RadioShack!
