    @tiramisu anata o korosu i know what this song is about. the only reason why i commented what i said was bc some people in the comment section (and just a lot of people in general) stereotype all men as being bad, so i was just saying to stop doing that. and when i said "men and women are equal" i didn't mean biologically tf i meant in the society we live in. also, only 0.0064% (well i'm not exactly sure but it is well under 1%) of men AND women are rapists.

  • @seokjinsriceball

    @seokjinsriceball

    @tiramisu anata o korosu and i do know that the oppression and sexism in the middle-east is really bad, i am part middle-eastern, but when i said "women aren't oppressed" i was talking about in more developed countries like the US. can you tell me about the oppression women in the united states have to face? and don't tell me some shit like the wage gap, that has already been debunked. tell me REAL oppression like what people of color and gay men have to face, or tell me some privileges that men have that women don't have.

  • @seokjinsriceball

    @seokjinsriceball

    3 жыл бұрын

    @tiramisu anata o korosu well you can't do math accurately with false numbers, so yeah, that number is most likely false but i can guarantee that the population of rapists is less than 2%. “ A United Nations statistical report compiled from government sources showed that more than 250,000 cases of rape or attempted rape were recorded annually. ” take 250,000 and divide it by 8 billion. i just redid the math and it turns out that only 0.00003125% of people are raped annually, according to the numbers and statistics we have. so in conclusion, i highly doubt that 1 in 4 females are raped. people who hate on ALL men are so fucking delusional because 99.9936% - 99.99996875% of men aren't even rapists. anyway, this isn’t oppression and women being raped isn’t nearly as bad as most crimes like murder, genocide, terrorism, etc.

    This song is so important for things that are happening in right now. Not all men are bad but all women are scared. The first verse sums it up perfectly. This song is about how when boys do something its just waved away with this one phase and not taken accountable for their action with cause women to be terrified cause we don't know who the good or bad ones are.

  • @Aleks-Athame

    This is so true. I was almost sex trafficked once and I've been scared around men and older boys ever since. I hate it when people notice and tell me, "not all men are like that." I KNOW, and everyone else does as well. But maybe women would be less scared of the world when we stop getting trafficked and raped. But we all know that's not going to happen for a long time. So just be kind, and let people who are scared know you can trust them. It's not just women out there who have to be scared. Men can be raped and trafficked too. Homosexuals are still people. The point is, just be kind and make the world a better place for all of us.

I remember that at one of my old schools boys would go up to girls and snap their bra straps. One time I decided to go to a teacher because of it and she just said, "Ignore them. Boys will be boys." This song was written about how boys raping women and sexualizing them is not OK, but it's so common that people don't think too much about it. In no way is Dua Lipa an idiot. When there's nothing funny here (ah) Sick intuition that they taught us, so we won't freak out We hide our figures, doing anything to shut their mouths We smile away to ease the tension, so it don't go south But there's nothing funny now (ah) When will we stop saying things? 'Cause they're all listening No, the kids ain't alright Oh, and they do what they see 'Cause it's all on TV Oh, the kids ain't alright Boys will be, boys will be Boys will be, boys will be boys But girls will be women Boys will be, boys will be Boys will be, boys will be boys But girls will be women I'm sure if there's something that I can't find the words to say I know that there will be a man around to save the day And that was sarcasm, in case you needed it mansplained I should've stuck to ballet (ah) When will we stop saying things? "girls will be women" . When I was a teenage girl, I had 20's, 30's, year old men telling me I looked so much older, when I told them my age. My age never made them back down, and I thought looking older was a compliment. Now, in my 20's, and still looking pretty much the same as I did at 16, men back down when I tell them my age, they tell me I look younger. Because it was always about preying on me, and now that I am actually older, they know I won't be as easy to trick anymore. To young girls out there, men don't think you're older than your years, they don't think you're more mature, they don't think you're smarter than other teens. They think you're easy prey. Prove them wrong.

    you know what really annoys me? that people in this comment section who see a powerful, beautiful woman, talking about the struggles that most girls have or will go through, struggles that have been SUFFOCATED for the ENTIRETY OF HISTORY, and feel the need to say things like "feminists are lying to you", "its not all men" *WE KNOW ITS NOT ALL MEN, BUT ALL WOMEN SUFFER.* all your doing when your saying things like this, is proving Dua's point even further. For all of history, women have been disregarded as lesser than men, and we have been RAPED, HARRASSED, SET ASIDE AS *WORTHLESS*, AND SO MUCH MORE, for what? for your small mindedness and sexism? If you're not mature enough to handle the fact that we're DONE putting up with YOUR BULLSHIT, then LEAVE. go have your temper tantrum in your room and you can come back and talk with all of the big kids when you finally realize that all we want is for people like you to treat us with respect. we deserve so much more than that, respect is the bare minimum. i dont ever want to see another video or another news report of a girl whos been raped or harrassed, ever. it breaks my heart to see that people are still blaming rape on the way a woman dresses. Im not saying that men are terrible or anything, i stand fully against people who think that all men are evil and shit like that. all this is, its a mindset. "women dont wanna be harrassed and they want to be treated the same way as men? how dare they!" I know its more complicated for you all than that and i completely understand that this may a completely innacurate represenation of why you're against feminism, but the feeling I get as a woman, reading comments like "she was asking for it", is hopelessness. Feminism is not all men are terrible, its that women have been pushed around by the men who use their sex and power as a leash to keep women on. I hope that i didnt insult anyone with this, i wrote it while i was sad and my words get all jumbled when my emotions run high, but i hope the message got across okay :) i love you and cherish you, and i hope youll do the same for everyone else and be nice please.
