Today I take a look at the DTNVS (Dual Tube Night Vision System) by Licentia Arms.
In the world of night vision, these are pretty amazing. For starters they use the DTNVS housing by ACT in Black. The housing itself is light weight, articulated and made with some pretty nice features built in. Then Licentia Arms, one of the few people building units correctly, dropped in some aircraft grade L3 Filmless white phos tubes. They are incredible...

That counterweight is one of the most subtly ingenious things I've seen in a hot minute.
I just got my first set of tubes last month and man has it been a blast so far!
Love your videos and low key, no BS style. Bought a set of DTNVS last year (from Steele Industries). Very pleased. Also have the counterweight kit from LA - solid.
Licentia is not one of only two builders getting tubes from L3. Plenty of builders have contracts with L3. Who told you that?

Because like every company they always want to make themselves look unique to the consumer, The dudes at licentia don't really know much about what they sell, They just know to put a tube in a pod and use a machine, All the hard work is done by the part manufacturers.

@@destroyerofgear Well, you only really can say you know how the technology works when you are the one developing it, some of these dudes try to talk like they created the intensifier tube, best to leave that to the people who know what they are talking about in my opinion.
Reminds me of a Klingon bird of prey when the NVGs are spread open.
Licentia is a fantastic company!

Do you prefer these over the 31a’s you reviewed about a year ago?
Does the DTNVS turn off if you look straight up while wearing them? I thought I heard they had some kind of tilt feature like that.
Awesome vid! Any chance you can ask the folks over at Licentia how long of a guesstimate before those BNVD Thermal Fused units are allowed to be touched by the rest of us unwashed masses???
I’m shocked at how many people keep their eye cup retaining rings in, you get a much better fov when you take them out because they block the outer edges of the ocular lenses.
Think i would prefer a nvg/thermal pair in any mixed light environment. Nvgs aren't great in urban areas with a lot of ambient lighting. In rural areas nvgs are awesome.
How do you budget buying these or are you just making that well from YT? Good content as always
