I just got a little paso mare whos hind legs look just like this one. She is very thin, abused/neglected. The man wants $850 so I agreed to take her on as a "trial" to get her healthy and if I want I can buy her or her can take her back once she's healthy. My problem is....I CANT send her back to the horrible neglect she suffered but I can't afford to buy a 20yr old horse with major medical problems either! I'm just loving her and helping her as much as I can and hoping to find someone willing to pay the man and give her a good home to retire in as a pasture pet/companion horse. I hate when people just see these animals as dollar signs, breaks my heart! This little mare is skin and bones and was terrified of people in general. The man actually had the nerve to ask me on day 2 if I'd ride her yet!!!💔

If a foal has this can they possibly fix/heal?

It’s very difficult. You may try foal extension shoes? Each one is unique. You definitely want to consult with your veterinarian and Ferrier to come up with the best solution.
