    Hey thank you very much, this is very helpful. Thank you for not torturing us with meaningless drivel and stupid loud music! Also for any of you reading this I suggest you clean out your vent from under your crawl space, you would be surprised how full that vent pipe gets, and it's a real fire hazard.

    My dryer heating element went out on my Frigidaire Dryer. It doesn't have music or anyone talking, but this video helped me out a lot and I took my dryer apart as I watched this video. Thanks.

    "If you are bleeding, take a break and clean up." I laughed at this part of the video, and then saw that I was bleeding. #Damnit Also, thank you so much for posting this. It's not exactly a step-by--step, but I used your video to replace the rear bearing assembly and the heater element for my Frigidaire Affinity front-loading dryer.

    Ray Boyington Ha ha I love this. Glad you got it working. Mine is still going but i did the main board and a couple door latches. I replaced the door screws and hope it will stay level now.

    The stupid door latch never stays put for me. We just have a weighted hamper now that is propped against and keeps the door closed when we're drying stuff.

    Ray Boyington Not a bad idea the part cost 25 bucks. My wife was using duct tape. Seems to be better with new screws in the door hinge with lock tight.

    If i want to clean lint out from around the heating element, do i use this same disassembly and re-assembly procedure? Or is there an easier way to do so?

  • @Oakheart

    @Oakheart

    9 жыл бұрын

    It would certainly give you access to the coil for cleaning I don't know of any easier way. The majority of the lint build up on mine was in the front panel and in the outflow tube.

    I honestly think all their products are crap and made to be crap. My parent's seem to not listen to me. They brought TWO refrigerators that broke down. Then my brother brought one and IT broke down and NOW the dryer breaks down literally two weeks after the warranty expired. I hate their products.

    OK, got rid of 3 of 4 codes. Still have the E5b code. "Heater Fault", manual says to replace "Electronic Control". Local appliance store price is $240.00, they say it's a regular occurance with this model. Shopping for new set.

    I get the E5b code. How do I know if it's not just the thermal resistor? Guess I can take the whole thing apart & just look at the coil.

  • @Oakheart

    That's what I did. There are a couple of good videos showing how to test the resistor but it's already half apart at that point so.
