How to Replace the Dryer Heating Element in a Frigidaire Dryer

Thanks Frigidaire, for designing a dryer that has to be almost completely disassembled to replace the dam heating element. I remember my father-in-laws dryer. Took the back panel off and maybe 4 screws held the element in a little housing. 10 min job.

Thank you! It did take a lot of work, but getting it fixed for a fraction of the price was worth it.

Thanks! Just replaced this with 2 under 3YO. The drum does seem slightly loose, but it runs fine.

How did you know it was the heating element and not, say the thermistor? I'm going to change what I think it is, but I want to narrow it down first. Thanks!

It was only blowing cold air, and I googled it to see what it Might be. Turned out that was it. 😊
