@@grandadmiralzaarin4962 that, would have been a bad scenario for the US. the Kirishima and Hiei did a shit ton of damage on their own... Kirishima disabling South dakota before being taken down. Yamato and Musashi being there... would have been a slaughter. but the reasons for them not showing up make sense. simply too slow for a in and out attack. both Sodak and Washington would have been destroyed... and any other vessel there crippled. Your talking a time when Japan still had a superior grasp of nighttime warfare.

@@nighthawkf1174 well they could have easily bombarded the airfield into oblivion as well neutralizing the air threat and the Marines. It would not have altered the end result of the war but would have given the IJN a last hurrah and actually justified the effort put into the Super Battleships.

you can say what you will about the dev's but the ship models are all f*cking exceptional.

WoWS was the only game that I felt that the cost for some of those premiums were actually worth it knowing the world that would have to go into each one of those models and the costs involved. Shame they drove me off the game when they released the french cruiser line and the P2W that was the Gal vs Grasse

Such a great ship that Ive met since I saw her from the anime KanColle, hotel Yamato Edit: Last year during Christmas in 2023, Ive finallly got my own Yamato. I wonder if you could add small people to the decks in these videos, having them walk around the ship or clean, so you can get a true sense of scale of these marvelous ships.

This short video reminds me of Stefan Draminski's short video of Yamato for The Anatomy Of The Ship series of books co-authored by Janusz Skulski from his updated book in 2017. His first being, in 1988. However, Stefen's version is more accurate since, both may have utilized the live stream of the Musashi Expedition in 2015, and as well the 1985, and 1999 survey of Yamato. This is still a great re-creation of the Yamato, and any flaws are inconsequential. Exceptional job!

Yamato is to world of warships what the e-100 is to world of tanks. A big, slow, and well armored monster that's an awesome sight to behold and are really hard to grind.

I never thought I’d say this but she’s as beautiful as the Titanic. Those ships have a few things in common: Both sank in April with their captains, wrecks discovered in 1985 & are in 2 pieces & got similar plot movies.

@@leehongjin6884 Its not about industry.Its the design itself.For example Japanese used light shells for their caliber which gave them less penetration,less explosive mass and higher drag.Soviet shells for comparison were 10% heavier than their Japanese counterparts which at 460mm would weight 1.8 tons instead of the japanese 1.5 ton shells.That gave them better damage potential,better penetration and had really high velocity which makes them far superior.There are a bunch of other flaws like fcs, torpedo protection etc

When will Yamato come in WOWs: Legends? The US got Iowa at tier 7. I think that a Yamato vs Iowa duel in WOWs: Legends will be legendary......

Glad that she is not Musashi 1945 in the video. Now do the game. (For those who don't understand this: One of the most obvious difference between Yamato and Musashi is the bars on their flight deck, Yamato's bars are at an angle, Musashi has them in parallel.

Just thinking about these WW2 end of era battleships like Yamato and similar counterparts from other nations. How just one of those ships during WW2 probably had enough combat capabilities to single handedly win WW1 if not for the world being too big to cover it all. Just the secondary artillery alone bringing more to bear than the strongest WW1 stuff.

Nagato is a long way away from yamato, in terms of xp and credits needed, and you need the parma camo on yamato for 5k doubloons, or you will lose money every game.

Gneisenau in game is what she would've been like if her reconstruction had been completed. Before she had 3x3 283mm guns, but after a lot of damage caused by planes, germany tried to refit her with 3X2 380mm guns ( same caliber of Bismarck), but the reconstruction got cancelled and they scuttled her. Scharnhorst in game has the previous configuration with the 283 mm guns.

You just imagined A-150. Featuring 3x2 510 mm artillery and 20x2 100 mm dual-purpose in a basically Yamato's hull. Which was the IJN answer to the Montana-class. I hope we see that ship in WoWs some day... Along with other IJN BBs, waiting for their release (like Ise and Tosa).

I know I'm pretty late but Yamato had to fight almost 400 aircraft, she shot down 7.... I don't think that American AA would have done anything consider that's more than double the planes that pearl harbor.... A fucking harbor filled with AA had to deal with
