This generation is pretty shit then if the best they can come up with is mediocre copy of 90ies Sonic Youth. No man, there are good bands of this gen like Turnstile.
I love the line "autonomy can be found at the shops." Followed by "For me. For me." Another great tune!
Dang, they did it again. At first you think "I'm not sure" & then 3 or 4 plays later you're like, "Oh wow, this is brilliant!"
so so so so so so so so so so so so so so... good.
They play proper instruments and write 6-minute singles. My God what more can you ask for? It's brilliant.

@@superdeluxesmell I just mean they are playing physical, handheld instruments & are not creating soundscapes & likenesses of real instruments on a computer.
stunning and pulse-escalating and melancholic and wandering but with a cautious awareness of the loneliness of brooding and fixating.
Not a song that stroke me at first, but with more listens it became my favourite from the album. Amazing piece of music.
Listening to a new Dry Cleaning song is unexciting because it's obvious that I will like it. There's no element of danger to it. But yeah this goes hard.
Class, whit, and brilliance, reminds me so much of The Smiths. We’re in a special time w you DC, I feel lucky to be here experiencing it.

@@kieron63 It makes sense, really. Both bands share a couple of musical elements. But it's beyond the mere musical aspect: Florence's lyrics, although more abstract, feel relatable to people the same way Morrissey's did back in the 1980s. I guess it's a generational and cultural thing, and I'm glad to be here for DC!

Never felt a song more like this. Especially the part after 3:30min.

So fun to see this behind the scenes video. Think we all needed it. Take care on the road! Florence I feel embarrassed who said, can I get a selfie instead of just a picture with you in Malmö. Then it took 10 seconds too before it said click. Can't believe you stood and laughed with me. Signed my book which is now on the shelf. Thanks for the new record-Hope to see you live again! Everything was dark for a while but now everything is fun again.

Florence was great to meet in Austin (met her last year at the show also!) even though she had to go she made time for fans, the drummer also, but Tom... I wore my Voivod shirt for him, and that bastard just blew right past me!

I can hear Sonic Youths "Washing Machine" in the guitar but as a more imprint lo-Fi disintegration. Really quite amazing. Even the song sounds like a super-8 film or photo being developed in a set of underwater slacker memory of all my fav bands from the early-to-mid 90s but importantly unique. How Dry Cleaning make me nostalgic but also feel like I'm hearing something for the first time is pure genius. Have this on pink casette on Stumpwork pre-order my tape player is wonky so this will still sound amazing.
