    I'm happy to see more brands come out with azelaic acid, watching it get more of the spotlight is always good. I was really proud of myself being able to manage a recent rosacea flare with azelaic acid (prescription 15%), skin1004 centella ampoule and tret. Dealing with my dogs cancer has been stressful, which apparently can cause a rosacea flare, lol love that for myself. I got lots of little bumps ready to start forming into white heads but I managed to keep them at bay! They never came to the surface and got a chance to leave me with PIH. It's my first time successfully stopping it in its tracks. I do think the centella ampoule helps a lot! Such a great find. I thought I'd mention a little update with my Otterhound Clodagh, she just had her second chemo appointment this week, she's handling it well, the vet was so pleased at her last appointment that her lymph nodes are down about 50% in size with just the first chemo treatment, and her blood work is excellent. We'll take any positive news we can get! Cheers :)

    I just love the overall that this cream has Perfect day cream, with antioxidants, Azelaic, salicylic, ceramides, and even my fav combos (niacinamide + NAG) Little tip: spray thermal water before using it, and doubles the calming and spreading, mine last 6 months day and night cause of that

    I really like this product! I prefer to use azelaic acid in my daytime routine after an antioxidant serum though. Also mine came with a little plastic covering for the tip that prevents the product from doing that dry crusty thing.

    Strange how we have such different experiences with this. It takes one pump for me. I use this in the morning since I use retin A at night. I have dry skin. If I use them together my face peels. I haven’t been able to use azalea acid before because it doesn’t agree with my skin.

    Hi Sarah, hope you're doing well I'm really behind with watching your videos especially the awards show, I'm still grieving the loss of my father in Dec last yr , he passed away in icu 3 days after having a major stroke, doctors did all they can to remove the clot but the damage was too big his brain kept swelling until his lungs and heart stopped, I've been living in an utter denial since still can't accept the fact I'm not gonna see him ever again, he was the strict parent compared to mum but he was the only place I go to for life advice, I've been so busy organising with hospital, funeral service office, priests, church's hall, cemetery office, inscriptor, moving houses, dealing with real estate agents......etc The experience was really hard and exhausting, I've barely had any gd sleep since the 16th of Dec, feeling slightly better back to work since last wk keeps my mind busy takes the focus away but as soon as I get back home I feel horrible and depressed, I'm pretty sure he's in a better place now but I really miss him so much I wanted to spend more time with him. Thanks for always being there making those lovely skincare videos, watching you makes me feel heaps better ❤ I'll be catching up on all I missed

    My heart goes out to you. I lost my younger sister back in March 2005, she had just turned 23. Losing someone you love so dearly, is like a knife through your heart. Over time the wound will heal but there will always be a scar. I too got very depressed. I would no longer even go to the grocery store. It was so hard for me to see strangers living life while life for us stopped. It was like reliving that same day everyday. Please know you are not alone. So many people are either going through the same pain, loss or have went through it. I don't know you but I'm sending all the love I have to you. I strongly believe when my time comes my sister will be there to take me home until then I know in my heart she wouldn't want me hurting and I'm sure your father wouldn't either. Stay strong ❤️

    Hii.. can we use it with ordinary nicanamide 10% because i have a very oily skin so nicanamide really helped me in removing the excess oil now i am wondering if i could use it with that serus as my night time routine

  • @NOBSBeauty

    @NOBSBeauty

    It does contain a little bit of niacinamide, but my guess would be less than 1% so I think it should be okay to use both unless your skin is super sensitive, see how to goes the first few nights and if your skin tolerates them without getting red or dry you should be just fine. I'd recommend using the Ordinary serum first then the Drunk Elephant afterwards.

    I got sent this in exchange for review. It doesn’t really feel like it’s doing anything lol. I don’t find it very moisturising or soothing. Yet it’s also for uneven skin tone etc. I feel like they’ve thrown multiple products that don’t quite go together in one. There’s a few new things like this that confuse me lol.

  • @NOBSBeauty

    @NOBSBeauty

    They did throw so many ingredients in this one so I totally know what you mean. How long have you been using it and have you used anything else with azelaic acid in it before? I think that's the star ingredient in this one but there's so many more affordable options that no one needs to spend so much for it.

  • @Queenfairypants

    @@NOBSBeauty I’ve only used it a few times, didn’t expect anything overnight of course. My skin is extra sensitive in Winter so not the best time to experiment. Also found the instructions vague. Says as the last step, surely the strength of ingredients would get buffered? And pretty sure the leaflet said limit frequency and duration of contact with skin!? I have used something with azelaic acid before, my skin reacted but that’s when I was having a lot of trouble with sensitivity. This reply feels all over the place but cuz the product is 😂

    That’s a great idea. I would love to see your suggestions for how much to use. I’m new to toners serums and seances ampoules let’s see what else… anything else basically! It’s confusing! For example my prescription tret says uses half a pump, but a full pump is barely a pea size. And the pea sizes you see on KZread are usually big effing peas but that’s what the derms seem to say is to use a pea size. So confusing.

    Don’t you think you come off as disingenuous every time you say you’re not a Drunk Elephant fan? You buy every single new product they release so you’re clearly a fan and just don’t want to admit it because you know the brand is shady. At this point you’ve spent thousands of dollars on their expensive products. You’ve probably spent at least a thousand just on Protini alone. The people at the Drunk Elephant offices must think you’re a total sucker because no matter how much you gripe about them, you can’t stop yourself from throwing your money at them.

    She is not a fan of the company’s treatment of the consumer, that is not to say she doesn’t enjoy the products. It’s important to note that she recognizes her bias and is able to separate her own bias from a review of the merits of a product. I actually think this makes her reviews genuine.

    It’s her job to try out & review products. There’s lots that she’s not a fan of and there are companies where she’s drawn a line of absolutely not reviewing products of bc she feels strongly enough about it; (Naturium, for example). Her stating that she’s not a fan of a brand but here’s a product that other people might really like/benefit from (or vice versa) makes her good at her job. 🙄
