Protini and especially Lala helped my skin so much, that i had to try the F-Balm and i like it (no dry patches in the mornings as i sometimes have). I applied it as my last step and only 1 pump ,4 to 5 would be to much and a waste. The F-Balm came with a sample size of the TLC and i liked it too, i will probably purchase it when the sample is done (and in the case that my sensitive skin doesn't react to it)

I bought it , I adore it . I apply my DE retinol with oil first and 2 pumps of this over top alternating nights with herbivore Prism Aha/bha serum followed by Fbalm . DE is the only retinol that doesn’t trash my skin and as it all lasts such a long time ml for ml it’s worth it for the effect on my skin. Another fab video from Wayne - I’m going to smoosh them altogether from now on !

So it took a lil while but I have all the products now and am finally trying this combo tonight!!! I started with the TLC baby facial and eye cream and absolutely fell in love with the brand so I’m excited to c how this cocktail works!!! 💪💪💪

I belive that retinol shouldn't be mixed with any exfoliator as it may cause damage/sensitivity/irritation to the skin 😕

It can be but you got to be VERY careful. Unless you have sensitive skin then don't even try. But if you slowly build up your retinol use, and I mean slowly like over several months then light chemical exfoliants once a week can be done without problems for many people. I can even use some harder stuff once a month for when the retinol dryness builds up on my chin and cheeks. But never use them same day together cause that could be bad. I take 3-4 days off retinol if I use the harder stuff. Granted everyone is different and you should always take a long time to build up as well as patch test and avoid sensitive areas. And of course sun protection.

I love it too!! And using the T.L.C. Framboos with the A Passioni allows for much deeper penetration. My skin tolerates it as well. Since I've been using DE exclusively my skin is perfect....I don't know why everyone says DE is expensive, it's not. I use every single product and it lasts long so I find it perfectly priced.

@@katyh.2501 It doesn't matter who started it and there is no difference between freelance chemists and any other chemists. The point is to be a good quality brand. DE is full of active ingredients just like any other respected brand: niacinamide, retinol, vitamin c, squalane etc.

This is interesting. I’ve always thought that you shouldn’t mix retinol and BHA/AHA so I’ve been rotating them in my routine: retinol one night, BHA the next and so on (alternating AHA and Vitamin C in my morning routine). Definitely going to try mixing and then buffering with facial oil and a rich night cream. Great idea, Wayne , thanks very much for this! Wayne I do the same nighttime cocktail as you expect i use Lala or protini instead of the marula oil and it looks wonders on my face but I always have extremely dry under eyes when I place the product there. I was wondering if you have the same issues if not what do you do to prevent it.

Drunk Elephant has changed my skin, I’m so happy I made the change. The F Balm I’ve been using for a week- I agree 4-5 pumps is insane!!!! I do my retinol/tlc/lala cocktail and I then tap in 1-2 pumps of F Balm over the top! Super soft skin, I’m really happy with it!

I’ve had zero breakouts from it. The marula oil however is an pimple creator for me. (Combo/oily skin)

I have to say I Love the DE products. I do a mixture at night like Wayne and I have had great results. I really don’t think they are anymore expensive than other good skin care lines. Each to his own I guess!

I agree. Maybe a bit expensive but if they work for my skin it's worth it. DE actually instructs customers to mix the products, they're meant to be used that way. And makes skin routine faster!

Yes i agree. And i like that there are no silicones and its now logical harmony approved. I guess feel safe using their products and have seen few years of using results really. Ive combined few kbeauty stuff with them and that works!

I find that most product lines ask that you use such an ungodly amount of their product for a single use. Honestly, how big is the face they're talking about that requires 4 to 5 pumps? Love your technique Wayne and I do something very similar as well. Keep up the great videso!!!

This product is basically a thick serum looking at the ingredients and their order. It most likely will need a thick emollient layer over it to hydrate dry skin types- otherwise dry skin will be tight and dehydrated again by morning. Which makes it...not a mask. Their ceramide/Hyaluronic serum is essentially just a better version of this “mask”. It also has corn oil in it, which is an odd choice as its comedogenic and known to be a pretty cheap and “dirty” additive for skincare (I’ve worked in product development, including in formulation, for prestige skincare companies for 8 years to provide a source!).

I LOVE marula oil !!!!!!!!!

DE is hit and miss for me. Love the Sakuri Babyfacial but the Tango Eye Cream was so drying...

Cocktail is a great idea! 💖

I tried DE & didn’t see any difference...really disappointing 😩 I’ll try it again in another couple of years.

I ordered this from Sephora and have been using this for a few days. Omg I’m so allergic to this !! My face and eyes are so itchy!! Not sure what’s in this my skin isn’t fond of. So sad, I love DE 😞

It may be the corn oil- it’s highly allergenic and also comedogenic. I have no idea why they would include this in their formula as an emollient; there are hundreds of other ingredients they could’ve used that would be far better!

You forgot the "dis" part. And I'd have to disagree. By ethically sourcing, it will always be more expensive because it includes more of the actual cost to make the product. They're not just putting their name on products and relabelling them. Take a look at The True Cost documentaries for a little understanding. Not everything is a sham, although most probably are.

@@pangkouxiong1244 I was agreeing with other people who had already commented that this product is overpriced. So saying that I do agree with those people makes my sentence correct. I have looked into the production costs/profits of make up and skin care. I do a lot of research on anything that is put on or in my body. There are very few companies out there that aren't overcharging people when it comes to make up and skin care.

In my opinion drunk elephant is super overpriced for mediocre products. I'll pass.

I mean you do what’s best for you. I’ve learned the hard way that using cheap products for my skin gives me “cheap quality” and I have very sensitive, super dry, fair skin. So it’s been very difficult for me to find things. While Drunk elephant is definitely priced on the higher side I cannot deny that the quality is there! I have no skin reactions, and my skin has benefited beautifully from it. You just have to find what’s right for you, and if your skin can tolerate cheap products then lucky for you. 😂 I wish my did the same. Quality over quantity ❤️

If you take into consideration how long DE products last they're not expensive at all. I use every single product they make exclusively and even if I thought it was expensive I'd still use it because the results are phenomenal. Beautiful skin is worth the price.

4-5 pumps is soooooooooo much product. I can’t believe they advise that. That’s too much product. That’s like 4x the amount you should be applying. Also this is NOT a mask. That is pure marketing. This is a rich moisturizer.

I'm worried about you mixing retinol with glycolic acid and putting that around your eyes and mouth, that can be super irritating and cause you problems down the road! I watch Dr. Dray, James Welsh and Hyram on YT and trust and recommend all three of them (especially Dr. Dray, she's a board-certified dermatologist in the US)
