Drunk driving woman crashes truck carrying children into muddy marsh
A woman accused of being drunk went airborne in her truck at a lagoon in Monroe County with three children in the car. A home security camera captured the terrifying moment when the out-of-control truck hit an embankment before crashing into the muddy waters. Video shows residents running to scene before emergency services helped to rescue the passengers. Local media reported that there were three children in the truck when it crashed. Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said they believe the driver had been drinking and is currently under investigation. There were no casualties, but the driver was later taken to hospital following the Sunday May 5 accident. The incident occurred near Superior Street and North Street in Frenchtown Township, about 20 minutes south of the DTW airport.

I used to run a high risk insurance agency. Drink drivers are the most irresponsible people you will ever meet. In their mind everything happened to them other than they were drunk behind the wheel.
