Okay,i closed my eyes. But every time Portnoy does a fill, especially that fuckin RLKKRLKKRLKK pattern, my eyes are opened by sheer anger. Im not digging this shite.

Bozzio is such a percussionist. So many different sounds at his disposal

Bozzio is trying to take this somewhere else....Mike is like 'What's wrong with The Stadium'.

Love the drumming - hate most of the comments... why can‘t the fanclub of the less known yet very talented performer be as respectful as their hero himself? Those two outstanding drummers having fun together jamming are a great joy... thank you for sharing!

A common theme with the "hate comments" is so and so is better than ... With these talented drummers/percussionists they have a mutual respect and admiration for each other and NEVER between them will you hear "Better than."

Two completely different set of skills, styles and drum setups complimenting each other beautifully, percussion that is music for my ears...

jealousy and lack of the ability to read the room. Mike isn't the drummer that i turn to for inspiration, but his skills are undeniable. he plays the way he does because he wants to, and no one can change that. shit-talking any drummer or musician is pointless. sure it's fun to poke fun at different styles in a humorous way, but the people who comment negatively need to grow up or switch to sports where venomous hating seems to be the norm

To the keyboard critics: I have done drum kit duets several hundred times. There are 2 people and they each have a style. They meet somewhere in the middle. What they do with it depends on the day, how many times they have played together, and a bunch of personality shit has to be werked out. But no matter what you hope for its always what it is... Fun!!

Terry is the master here... in every way.

Very cool and creative drumming confined in a 7.39 minute set. Can't deny their talents...

Mike is my favorite drummer of all time...hands down.. but even he will tell you Bozzio sits at the head of the drummer cool table. And anyone who doesn't agree doesn't know drums

ChronicInfluencedCody knows better. He must be an awesome drummer to sit in the judgement seat over these two masters... I saw Bozzio live w FZ = monster on drums- and he can read the notes. Incredible then and better now. Came across Portnoy later - love his playing. Love Donato's playing as well. Why can't we just appreciate good playing?

Bozzio is self absorbed and often not very musical

Two different styles of drumming coming together to make some magic!

Terry makes playing the drums look effortless, great duo 😊

Saw Terry at Drum Daze in Columbus OH...I'll never forget him mid solo ushering in his drum tech to tune one of his toms to his liking lol...Shout out to Columbus Pro Percussion! Took lessons there for many years. They always brought the coolest drummers to Drum Daze!

LOVING THE WAY THEY COMPLIMENT EACH OTHER....NOT A SWINGING CONTEST. THEY'RE DEFINITELY LISTENING TO EACH OTHER...

I wish more bands would do this instead of two guitars.

The difference in their techniques is huge, but work well together. Sure, Bozzio can play just about anything Portnoy can. But damn!! Bozzio's been doing this longer than Portnoys been able to walk. So let him cram in the triples and flaming bass drum riffs. The bottom line, i wish I could play half as good as either of them.

You couldn't be more wrong, Kong. Portnoy doesn't do anything here any average metal drummer can't do. Bozzio's technique is beyond next level.

The sound of the drums. Rich solid. Not like ringing a bell but really deep solid sonic taters and gravy. Love this vid.

This is an amazing pairing of two supreme experts in their craft. The only way this could have been made better us if you threw in Thomas Lang, Mike Mangini, and Marco Minnemann, five different styles jamming out together would be a sight to see, and an eargasmic experience.

Both awesome drummers no doubt .my personal favorite is portnoy. but their drum sound levels don‘t match.either bozzio ‘s drums sound should have been increased or portnoy‘s drums sound should have been decreased then it would sound much better.

Bozzio should've done more than what he did. With all of those percussion drums there he should've let loose like Portnoy did.

Would have loved to see Mike lay back a little bit like he did at the end. A bridge section of that lighter dynamic stuff would have complimented Terry's kit very well. At least that's what I kept waiting on and when I got it at the end, it was over....bummer.

frank alfar I think I saw what you were trying to do there. :-) See if I'm on your wavelength... "Several Species of Small Furry Animals, Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving With a Pict." Quite possibly one of the longest song titles ever. Old Pink Floyd...holds the record as the longest song ever...at least for them. Roger Waters' song from their double album Ummagumma. Roger generated all the noises and sounds in that bit of what he calls concrete poetry. (Picts were the early Scots.)
