Drugs At Its Finest
Ойын-сауық
Drug addicts are one of the most dangerous people police officers encounter in their line of
job. They can be erratic, sensitive, and unpredictable.
But what happens when they are caught red-handed by police officers. Here are four of the
most incredible times police officers encountered drug addicts.

I'm honestly kinda surprised to find out it's against the law to overdose. Seems pretty dumb, honestly. You almost die, you're going to be stuck with a huge hospital bill, AND you're arrested.

@@piercedviking8058 suicide or attempting suicide is also a crime 🤷🏼♂️ having experienced the life of an addict, I can say that it would without a doubt be completely shitty to be in jail during withdrawals….but at least you’re monitored, fed (if you can even eat), given a bed to sleep on (if you sleep at all), and if you’re lucky you’ll be clean long enough to decide to get even more help. Drugs and addiction are no fucking joke and SO many people simply don’t understand what it does to you and your brain. They think a short detox is all it takes to “cure” you. “Just say no! Just don’t do it! Why would you CHOOSE to do this instead of being a normal member of society?!” After a certain point, an addict doesn’t have much of a choice. Your brain will convince you to do whatever it takes to just feel better/normal. No matter who suffers. A 5 day detox is hardly going to “fix” anything. Just 5 days of suffering before you go back out and find more drugs. I felt so bad for the guy hearing him literally cry for help because he had lost all control. Drugs are SO much stronger than almost anyone thinks and extremely underestimated. I *really* hope he got the help he genuinely needed. He’s got a long road ahead of him.

@@piercedviking8058I know in my state if the cops are called for an OD the victim and (I think) any bystanders that stayed to render aid are immune from prosecution. They can obviously prosecute dealers but if you OD and someone calls the paramedics they cannot charge the person that OD’d with possession.
Watching Adrian absolutely broke my heart. Telling the officers to be cautious because he couldn’t remember if he had fentanyl in his pocket and that he didn’t want any harm to come to them showed his true character. Even being as high as he was, you could tell just how much of a kind, caring and genuine person he at heart. I was quite surprised at how much self awareness he displayed by asking for help and being honest about his struggles. Watching him actually brought me to tears. Unless you have been like Adrien you will never understand the feeling. I feel so bad for him because I've been in that state of mind of psychosis several times. From severe Opiate withdrawal to drugs given to me in the hospital. You feel like you're crawling out of your own skin and the feeling of pure torment because it never seems to end. All you want is the feeling to end and someone to be by your side eho is understanding what you are going through . You can't even talk yourself through it let alone trying trying to tell people what you need or what's going on with yourself. You literally feel like you are dying but resting or sleeping is impossible. You feel entirely helpless and alone. Once the hospital gave me drugs that had a more of a severe effect to where I was uncontrollably convulsing and seizing aggressively. I hope Adrien gets the help he needs 🙏🏼

One thing I always wonder about with respect to drug addicts getting arrested... how do jails deal with withdrawal? Like if police arrest an alcoholic, the DTs and seizures caused by withdrawal can kill a person. If they arrest an opiate addict, withdrawal has them puking, shooting diarrhea, flipping out because their skin is crawling and they're incapable of sleep, etc. Withdrawal can be super intense. What kind of country are we, that we dump a person who had a massive blood infection (that no doubt damaged his heart) out into the street with no support, after being on IV antibiotics for 2 months. Not really terrifying so much as it just REALLY fuckin sucks and doesn’t feel good AT ALL. You can’t eat, can’t sleep, can’t stay still, can’t stop thinking the worst thoughts, can barely control yourself (or not at all, such as in this case), all you want to do is make the thoughts and feelings stop ANY way you can. It’s pure torture. And yes, every addict is an addict because of their own initial bad choices. But a line is crossed at some point where the addict is no longer in full control of their brain. Their brain will tell them “do ANYTHING you have to do, just get your fix” and they’ll listen. It’s not as simple as “I choose to get high over fixing my life” anymore. It’s “I HAVE to get high or else I have no chance of having a life at all, and whatever life I had and loved is already gone, so fuck it.” Addiction is the very definition of evil. It takes a LOT (and I mean an extraordinary amount) of willpower to beat it voluntarily. Being forced to break the habit is sometimes the only way it will work.

I haven't watched the full second part yet, but im personally a year sober off of fentynal. This is how I'd act when I was withdrawaling, not overdosing. Fentynal withdraw is so intense it can kill you. You are in and out of hospitals if you can't come up with the money to feed your addiction for the ENTIRE addiction because it's actually the only option. The last time an er took me to the hospital they mistook me withdrawling for overdosing and it caused all types of issues. I was so much pain and no one would listen to me about what was happening to me. They treated me awful and like I was a crazy person. Edit- I watched the entire video and everyone I've seen overdose off of fentynal can't even keep there eyes open. It was probably traq or something he thought was fentynal but the dealer mixed a few other things in with it.

Years ago, I had a few drinks at a bar and was in the ladies' room. Some woman whom I had never met before wanted me to put makeup on. I said no, and she kept insisting, then literally pushed me up against the wall and tried to put lipstick on me. I shoved her back. She ran out and told the doorman and bartender that I pushed her for no reason. Then suddenly I was the one in trouble. When the police arrived, they finally believed me. I was hysterical, though, and so upset that the bartender, who knew me, didn't believe me.

I hadn't really thought about the like button for some reason but after u said what u said about that young guy being a good guy in spite of his addiction I paused it right then and clicked the like button. People tend to just see the addiction and automatically assume that the person is trying to get whatever they can get however they can get it so they can go get drugs. The fact that that guy, as messed up as he was on whatever, still had enough humanity and decency in him to tell the cops to be careful, he might have fentanyl in his pocket. Some of us are actually worth the effort to get to know us.

What a lot of people don't understand is that drugs feel awesome, they make you feel better than when you are not taking them. & its not until you are addicted that they show how shitty they really are, & by then sadly its too late you have a battle for the rest of your life, even if you manage to get clean you still have to be vigilant every day cause its always there waiting for a moment of weakness to bring everything undone. I thought I was too smart to be an addicted, I was born a heroin baby to both addicted parents, hated drugs for the childhood drugs stole from me & I made it it to 28 & in a moment of pure stupidity I wanted to know what was so important ( & better than me, since both my parents chose heroin over me). What a fool I was, I knew better & I still became what I hated. Drugs are insidious & unforgiving & have taken so many people who deserved better. But people need to remember Humans love to get wasted, been doing it for centuries probably longer. Society needs to end the 'war on drugs' & treat it like the medical issue it is not a criminal one. The fact they treat us like criminals is criminal. Its was only ever done to save the jobs of the bastards once prohibition ended. Its all fukt!

@@ninachkah13 A lot of people underestimate the emotional trauma experienced by recovering addicts. Idk if you’re already on a vitamin regimen, but if not, perhaps it’s something to consider. Some good ones for alcohol recovery are B vitamins (B6 specifically), magnesium and red ginseng. These can help tremendously with the low moods and restless fatigue that come with recovery. Zinc and vitamin c are good choices for overall health with any drug/alcohol addiction. Multivitamins are often recommended for recovery. I’m not a huge fan of the multi, because I don’t think a person gets enough of each ingredient, but it’s not a bad start. Those first three I listed are especially helpful with regulating mood and energy and none of them are habit forming. Avoid gummies and go for capsules if possible. Sorry to go on about vitamins so much.🤣 I wish you the best, whichever direction you take in your recovery.
